This kit did the job to fix my mixer. All parts fit well, and are still working well.

One of the bearing washers provided did not fit. The retaining ring pliers that were provided are nice but the tips were larger than the retaining rings provided so could not be used. The grease is very gummy and did not spread well at all. I would not recommend this product because you have to buy different tools and different grease if you want to really fix your Kitchenaid.

, even if you don't decide to install them yourself. As one who has had the gears on one of my mixers break, I appreciate being able to have the replacement parts on hand. This is a very comprehensive kit, and will replace any of the parts which may show wear or damage. However, do know that all the gears are metal. This may seem like an upgrade from the OEM plastic gears, but that plastic serves two purposes. One, I was told by the repair shop that the plastic gear is intended to be weaker than the other parts of the drive train so as to prevent damage to more expensive components. Thus it acts somewhat like a fuse, where a cheaper part is sacrificed during overload--of course changing the gear is not nearly as easy as changing a fuse. Second, and this is the reason encountered with every use, the plastic gear runs notably quieter than the all metal gearing. My mixer is plenty noisy as it is, and I'd like to not add to that noise. I can't verify that increase as I won't be installing these gears until I need to, but I am aware of the phenomenon from other gear sets.Overall, I'm most pleased to have these on hand, and hope I have the right ones. While I appreciate the comparison to the OEM numbers, most of us don't have ready access to those numbers. I do wish there was more information as to the model number of mixer, rather than just the individual part numbers.

The gears are great and fit perfectly. The original snap ring is the same as the one included in this kit. The snap ring plier tips are too big to remove or install the snap rings. The kit does not include the bushings which were also damaged on my machine. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

Perfect fit for 600 series kitchen aid. Original took 10 years to wear out, hope these last the same amount of time
