About this item

  • DUAL-FUNCTION VERSATILITY: The MV7270 functions as both a high-powered spray washer and a cooling system flusher, allowing you to clean surfaces and flush automotive systems without solvents
  • INDEPENDENT WATER AND AIR CONTROLS: Features separate valves for water and air to give you maximum control overflow and pressure, making it easy to adjust for various cleaning and flushing needs
  • EFFICIENT FLUSHING SYSTEM: Equipped with a stepped-up nozzle that fits hoses from 3/4" to 2", it provides effective cooling system flushing, optimizing fluid movement and preventing backflow
  • ADJUSTABLE PRESSURE AND EASY HANDLING: This tool includes a variable-control valve for water flow and a comfortable lever-action throttle for air, with a lock-on latch for long flushing sessions
  • DURABLE AND ADAPTABLE DESIGN: High-impact, corrosion-resistant construction ensures longevity, while the 3/4" swivel water inlet and 1/4" air inlet allow for easy setup with standard garden hoses and shop air lines

Mityvac is a brand of automotive diagnostic and service repair tools since 1971. Beginning with the design and patent of a single hand-held vacuum pump intended for medical applications, its uses broadened to include automotive diagnostics and service as well as industrial and consumer applications. The Mityvac 7270 is a powerful, compact spray tool that combines water with compressed air to effectively flush vehicle cooling systems. This easy-to-use tool has a water control valve and an air control valve that operates independently for maximum control. You can use its spray washer nozzle to clean multiple surfaces with higher pressure while reducing the risk of getting splashed. Mityvac offers the products and systems you need for any brake and clutch bleeding application, air induction cleaning and compression testing, cooling system evacuation or refill application, for fluid handling and diagnostic applications.

This bridges the gap between a garden hose and a pressure washer perfectly.

Needed to make hose adaptors for the vehicle but after that was thoroughly impressed , works great ! Unplugged 2 heater cores and a radiator that had sealer in them that caused them to stop working ! Good tool !!

This is a solid product. So many products I buy now in Amazon are suspect quality. But bit this. All metal and quality built. No leaks and nothing loose. Works great. Only negative is the price. Way too expensive. Almost not worth it given all the options available.

Solved my “casting sand” in the cooling system problem on my 2017 Jeep Wrangler in one try! Jeep’s 3.6 liter Pentastar engine has a known (but not advertised) problem with a gradual buildup of fine sand or silt in the cooling system as a result of inadequate cleaning of cylinder heads after they were cast. The problem usually shows up as the heater core clogging up but in my case, the buildup was probably in the block. The cooling capacity gradually degraded to the point that the engine would overheat when climbing long mountain passes. It finally got so bad that it wouldn’t allow me to maintain normal highway speed on gradual grades. Another problem it caused was only a factory thermostat would even let me use the vehicle at all because aftermarket thermostats would overheat even at idle! It seems that the factory thermostat performs slightly better than the aftermarket thermostats, a negligible difference unless the cooling system is already severely degraded. Of course, since the pandemic, Jeep factory thermostats have been on national back order! I even ran my Jeep without the thermostat for a while which is not fun in the Colorado mountains in winter! Even then, it would overheat on climbs. I was hopeful this tool could fix my problem but it worked far better than I expected. I disconnected the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing, removed the thermostat housing and thermostat and disconnected one of the heater core hoses and blew water/air combo into the upper radiator hose where it was disconnected from the thermostat housing. (Make sure to attach the hose to the tool with a hose clamp!) My household water pressure is set to 100 psi. I know this because my incoming water supply pressure is higher and I have to have a pressure regulator on my household system to reduce the pressure to 100 psi and I have a gauge to check it with. I set the regulator on my air compressor to 120 psi. (The air pressure needs to be set higher than the water pressure to prevent water from entering the air compressor system.) I don’t believe the water pressure needs to be as high as mine for the tool to perform well because it appears that it’s the blast of air behind the water that does all the work. Bottom line? After one use of this tool, my Jeep is back to running like new, cooling perfectly and running an aftermarket thermostat! My wife and I volunteer for Colorado 4x4 Rescue and Recovery but because of ongoing overheating problems with our Jeep Wrangler, we’ve been unable to respond to emergencies for over a year. It’s great that this amazing tool has us back on the Colorado trails after one use! You’ll never regret purchasing this tool.

Mityvac is a name I’ve never heard of before and I am always skeptical of 90% of the stuff being sold online. However, I noticed made in Denmark stamped on it so I figured it should hold up and work for a short time.Thankfully my fears were put at ease when it arrived. It seems like it was made of a durable material, sure it’s not metal or anything heavy, but it’s more robust than some of the cheap quality hose nozzles you find at even the big box places. We had a hard freeze coming up and one vehicle had a low mix of antifreeze which was already beyond it’s useful life. So I needed to quickly flush everything and fill it up with new antifreeze before the cold weather moved into the area.I disconnected the coolant hoses and let them drain into a pan while I got my air compressor out along with the water hose. It was super simple to hook up the tool and I loved the fact they included the correct size pneumatic fitting which some places leave out. By including the fitting I was able to go straight to work without a special trip to the hardware store. Thank you Mightvac!!The flush tool was a blast to use; literally, it forced all the gunk and old antifreeze out in a matter of 1 minute to do the whole engine block before I had clean water flowing without any debris. Radiator was about the same time to flush before clear water. Heater core, about 2 seconds.I cheated a little on the next part to put the new antifreeze by adding about half a gallon of 50/50 mix until the clear water turned rich green to know I got all the water out - or as much as possible. I then reconnected hoses and kept adding 50/50 and a little concentrated until topped off. I know I wasted a little of the good antifreeze, but I was on a tight schedule to get jobs done before the freezing weather so I took a shortcut rather than a More professional way of doing a coolant flush.Price wise it’s a little expensive, but it’s still cheaper than the higher priced alternatives and works pretty well for the price. It did help make sure I didn’t have freeze plugs pop out due to the cold so I’m happy
