After a plastic loop handle on my old Henckels shears broke after 20 years of normal use, I decided to try something different. These Sakari shears are razor sharp and can be easily separated for cleaning without tools. They are so nice! I'll let you know how they worked out in another 20 years.

We liked these kitchen scissors so much we bought a second pair right away. Sleek, sharp and the handles are big enough that your fingers don’t get squished. Highly recommend over ones that have add on handles that break down over time

I love the durability of this shears. It can cut anything. Also, the ergonomic design of the handle is superb especially for someone that has arthritic hands. Best of all, cleaning it is super easy.

I have had many pairs of kitchen shears with plastic handles where the rubberized grip stuff wears off, leaving a mess, or eventually the plastic will break or split after enough cycles through the dishwasher. I got these because, frankly, I wanted something that would last a lot longer.The handles are metal, but they are very smooth and are comfortable to hold.I was not thrilled with the price of them, but I think they were worth it. Very sharp, they've been keeping their initial edge well for the first couple months so I haven't tried sharpening them yet. The weight and heft in your hand is nice and adds to the feeling of near-indestructibility.Also, they're solid stainless steel, so unlike me previous sets of kitchen shears, these can live on my magnetic knife strip and are always where I remember putting them, instead of wandering around the kitchen.I couldn't be happier and would recommend these to anybody.

These shears arrived nicely packaged in a box with Japanese text. They felt hefty and inspire confidence that these are nice quality. I first used them on a whole roasting chicken. They just snapped through all the bones as needed to quickly cut it up and leave most of the meat de-boned for marinating it for that night's dinner. I usually use just a knife or both a knife and shears for this job, but I just didn't feel like putting these shears down. And that is saying something because I love my 10" Wusthof chef's knife that I use for this task. The blades are nice and tight and with the serrated edge on one side, just grip onto bones as easily as chicken skin to cut right through. I was only hoping that they would be this impressive.I don't plan on losing these shears, but if I ever take and forget them to a friend's house and they refuse to give them back; or I am enjoying plenty of wine while cooking and just gift them to one of my guests in awe with these things, I would absolutely buy them again!Great kitchen tool. They look good, feel good in the hand and work great. A wonderful product that more than lives up to the expectation for some quality crafted Japanese shears.For me personally, the only thing that would make these even more enjoyable to use, is if the thumb hole on the upper thumb handle was a little bigger. But that of course, depends on size of user's hands.These get an easy five stars from me -and I love good cutting tools.
