ABOUT US
In 2002, Minus33 was created by textile engineers from L. W. Packard & Co. Inc. L. W. Packard has been involved in just about every aspect of the wool industry, and a proud family-owned business since 1916. In 1995, L.W. Packard was selected by Textile World magazine as one of the top ten textile plants in the world.
With so much of our family history rooted in the wool industry, combined with our genuine passion for the outdoors, it only made sense for Minus33 to emerge as a merino wool clothing brand. Minus33 began as a snowmobile brand, and quickly expanded to other outdoor markets, such as hiking, skiing, and hunting due the versatility of our product offering.

THE PERFECT CROSSOVER
Ponte de Roma is the name of a double knitting technique that consists of two layers of fabric knitted together. Ponte fabric is tightly knitted, making it very durable. It's stretchy, soft, doesn't wrinkle, and has a naturally flattering drape, which lets these mid-layers crossover perfectly from the outdoors to the office, and everything in between.

MOISTURE WICKING
Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.
INSULATES WHEN WET
Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.
UV PROTECTION
Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.
RENEWABLE
Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.

Sometimes I need one more layer, but without sleeves, and so I tried this vest this winter. It arrived with no types of off smells, and feels great to wear, every single time I put it on. Goes on and comes off easy, it is one of the most fun, easiest to use, and having the most utility, of any clothing I have owned. If I need more wool layers, I will be hoping to purchase them from this company. Worth every penny. Thankyou, Minus33 people!

Well made, comfortably cut, practically long, and warm. No deficiencies whatsoever. I bought one from the manufacturer years ago and just bought another on sale, to keep as a spare.

Very disappointed., for my needs. this is a very very NICE DRESS-sweater!, but I was expecting a HEAVYWEIGHT jacket-liner for added warmth outdoors WINTER wear.Fantastic WOOL!this would make a fantastic insulated undergarment i.e., like an expensive insulated undershirt, but much too lightweight for my WINTER-wear-coat-liner intentions.

Good, solid fabric. Not as snug fitting as I'd hoped for. Bought it to replace my Icebreaker vest which is full of holes. However, this new vest stays on its hanger & the vest full of holes gets worn daily since this Minus 33 vest's collar is all wrong - really uncomfortable, which is a shame because the rest of it is pretty good.

Overall, the fabric was comfortable with great warmth and the material has plenty of give. But the finish on the shoulders was not as form fitting as the picture displayed. The opening of the shoulders do not lay snug against the shoulder giving the appearance of "wings".I didn't return the vest because my husband wore the vest but bought another vest of a different brand.

I love this product. Wool is just a fantastic way to stay warm. Only thing bad I could say about this is it picks up a lot of dog hair, but that's not its fault. I would have preferred grey as it would then hide the hair, but love it otherwise. Fit is perfect.

I have been using this vest for the breezy NorCal evenings. It feels great to wear it when the temperature dips midway through an evening walk. It is not very warm for real chilly weather nor does it make me feel sweaty if the temperature goes up a few degrees. Its easy to put on, zip works well and overall is a good fit. It feels a tad too long for my body but otherwise nice fit. One minor gripe - the neck goes fairly high so when you undo the zip at the top to breathe a little, the opening of neck feels restrictive. Not a major issue but it sometimes bothers me that I cant keep it zipped down to my neck and have to lower it further to feel comfortable. Otherwise, good material, works well.

I had a hard time finding a wool vest but this was worth the effort. The size fits me perfectly. The merino wool fabric is thin, light and slightly stretchy. You can see it in the photos but the pockets are zippered. The full-length zipper is actually backed by material, conserving warmth. It is longer than a typical vest (as shown) which I think is great for covering the belt line--but not so long that it becomes an issue sitting on it. Perfect for what I wanted: something to wear around the house and also to wear under a coat outside as an extra layer. Couldn't be more pleased.

I really like this vest. Its much thinner than I would have thought and I was a bit concerned at first but after wearing it for a week or so I really like it. I use it as a middle layer under my coat and it really makes a difference as my current coat is just a little thin for the cold. I don't want to constantly be switching out large coats over the course of a day with morning frosts and warmish mid days, so it's nice to just choose the coat, vest of both.It's also got a bit of stretch to it, not much to say about that just some info.
