This is an affordable way to keep a little privacy. Of course that won't discourage an experienced thief that really wan't your stuff, but it is not really worst than a padlock for these situations. He will still need a pry bar, a grinder or a good hammer to get rid of it, but since all these tools would make noise, I would trust this on a shed, or simply to lock a cabinet to keep kids or people who are too curious out of your things!If you live in a high crime area, I would probably choose something more robust.That being said, I would recommend this product!

This locking hasp is for situations requiring only low security such as a backyard gates and sheds. For those purposes this is perfectly suited. Low cost and easy to install.The hasp is stamped steel that's well painted and finished to prevent rust. The lock body is a cast non magnetic alloy. The lock wheels are on the smaller side and maybe difficult to manipulate with gloves on.A minor quibble is that the numbers on the wheels face with the bottoms to the right when the lock is closed (if mounted horizontally). In the closed position is when the numbers have to be read. It would make more sense to have them facing upright when the lock is closed.

I have an outdoor shed that I use daily for my animals. I wanted to start locking it up, but am terrible about remembering to carry keys around with me. This was the perfect solution. Very easy to install and use!

This hasp type combination lock looks great on my wardrobe. My wardrobe belonged to my great grandfather and the original lock is gone. It is a beautiful and still useful piece of furniture.This lock is an excellent solution for this old cabinet. It is simple and easy to install. I didn't even measure, I just placed it where I wanted it and screwed it in. The combination is easy to set and the instructions are clear. It comes with a tool to set the combination.What I like is that it looks good on my old, dinged up yet beautiful wardrobe.
