I had a lot of fun assembling this book nook but I get it fully finished and the lights won't even turn on. I used brand new batteries and triple checked that I wired everything correctly but still no luck. Other reviews say they've also had issues with the lights not working either so I would not recommend it since you can't even see inside without them.

Update: The seller was extremely helpful and apoloetic about the missing light. They provided me a partial refunded and offered another kit for free. Review was changed because of a fantastic customer service experience.Super cute, but it came without the light 😔

I have gotten a couple of nooks before this one. This is the only one where you have to cut out ever little image and then glue them to the wood. The others either had the images printed on sticker paper or already printed on the wood. Not this one. The wood is blank and difficult to punch out of the frames. The pictures are printed on a thicker glossy paper, almost like photo paper. The images aren't even perforated.Unfortunately because of that, the more detailed images end up looking not as good. E.g. the intricate picture frames.I spent a total of 5 hours just carefully cutting out the images. If I had known, I would've chosen a different one for sure.Avoid this one!!!

I bought this for my adult daughter for Christmas and she’s still worried on it as of February! But…she doesn’t work on it every day and when she does, she really enjoys it. I love to see all the little pieces come together. If you have bad eyesight or an unsteady hand, I don’t recommend it. It does take a little patience, but it’s very satisfying seeing it come together and she likes it a lot. It’s so cute too! I’ll post a picture when it’s finished.

Updated review: 4 stars, Good Seller Experience.See my original review below. I'm upgrading my review to be representative of the seller's efforts to improve my experience. This particular product is definitely not what I expected, but it was still quality it just wasn't the type of easy to assemble craft project I expected. After leaving my review the seller contacted me and tried to ask for more details and to try to correct the issues. I'm super suspicious but they were nice so I gave them a shot. They offered a few different other products for free, asking us what we would prefer. Eventually we picked something and it did come very quickly within a few days, and the type of product was very much the type I was looking for, with preprinted wooden cutouts and very clear instructions. That product is from the same seller and is labeled "sea maze", or sometimes other names in communication and on the label, and is a water scene with a sunken boat, you can look this up and find my review there. I'll also add that I thought it was really silly to sell this type of kit without glue, and after they said they are not allowed to send glue I actually looked this up. It is really true, there is a shipping regulation that does not allow shipping glue, I find this really odd, but it's true. Go figure. Anyway, at the end of the day this product isn't what I expected but the company did a very good job trying to offer other options and correct the issues, and as suspicious as I am of seller communication related to reviews and issues around that topic, they really seem legit and just wanted to help and do a good job, and that's great to see.Update: I was unable to review the other sea maze product. Amazon said it is showing a high volume of reviews and has limited it to verified purchases only. It is a little odd that this is the case, but perhaps this is due to similar situations as I was in with other products and the seller is responding this way pushing that other product, I'm not sure.Original review: 1 star, Bad Design Overly Difficult. This comes with printed paper where you have to cut all the little pieces out and glue them into the wood pieces manually. This could have been done with stickers or even better with wood preprinted with the images. The kit doesn't even come with glue or batteries, which makes no sense at all. We also got a different kit from the woodbests brand and it was all preprinted, and while I can't say that their version of this magic house kit would be the same, it's clear that it is possible to do better. This looks like an absolute nightmare to build, which would be ok except that there is clearly a better way.

This was fun to put together. It took me about a week and I enjoyed all of the intricate pieces. It came out great. My issue is with the light sensor. It doesn’t work properly. The lights come on when I turn on the switch and it supposed to stay on as long as it senses motion. It only stays on for about 5 and won’t go on again until I turn it off and then back on again. You really can’t appreciate the intricacies of the scene in 5 seconds. I tried leaving it on thinking there was a reset period ( the manual says it needs to reset for 30 seconds after it goes off) but the lights won’t come on again. I checked the battery box and it was actually warm. I turned the switch off and let it cool down for about. 20 min and it came on again for about 10 seconds and then went off. According to the manual it’s not supposed to work that way. Very disappointing considering how much time I put into it. It’s not even possible to replace the circuit board because you would have to take the 3ntire thing apart. I did a Rolife book nook before this one and had a much better experience.Update: I’m very impressed with this company. After seeing my review they reached out to me immediately, apologized and asked how they could make this problem right. Since the book nook was already assembled and glued together, there was no way to replace the faulty lights so I asked for a partial refund. Not only did they give me a refund, but they are sending me a new kit they just designed. This is truly great customer service and I won’t hesitate to buy from them again. 5 STARS!

Got this for my 18 year old for Christmas, it kept her busy and the end result was extraordinary. It's beautiful. She said it took about 40 hours to build

My 13 year old granddaughter loved it but it took a lot of tedious effort and hours to complete. Definitely a fun challenge.

Beautiful kit, fun to assemble. When i purchased it, i didn't know it required glue... but it was entertaining to glue each piece, one by one.... It needs patience and dedication...Absolutely love making the flowers! i also loved the fact that the product arrived on timeBut I had a problem with some of the pieces, missing pieces... So I contacted the brand.. and after a few days, they responded! honestly, I was surprised at how polite and kind they are.. They respond to my e-mails quickly....and after a few weeks, they send me the same kit with full pieces... Amazing! So, if you have issues with this brand, in general, they have an excellent service and will respond to solve the issue immediately. I fully recommend this brand and kit, excellent service, and very cute garden! 10/10
