Great small hammer for bookmaking projects using grommets. Easy to handle and appropriate for hammering grommets, as well as for hanging small picture hooks! It was a great purchase for what I needed.

Normal sized hammers are too large for some craft work and for small chores; you need a smaller hammer. The package contains three (no nail pry) ball peen hammers. These small (2-1/2" head on a 6" handle) ball peen hammers have well-machined 1/3rd-pound heads mounted on sturdy wood handles. The hammer heads appear to be (mildly magnetic) stainless steel with surfaces milled almost to a mirror finish. These affordable convenient hammers are easy to carry in a shop toolbox, in a vehicle tool box, and on a tool belt.

I've actually needed a small hammer at various times, now I have 3! How my life goes, I'll probably never need one again, but if I do...The only claim they make that I disagree with, is they remove nails - good luck with that. Even if they did have the claws to do so, the handle is too short for the required leverage. No matter, at $5 each they seem well enough built to handle some pounding action (aren't we all...). If heads fly off or chrome chips away, I'll be back to update my rating.
