The extra jaws in the picture are not what came. They are not matched. On one of the extra jaws, for the pins, I had to pull out my m6 tap, to re-thread the holes. They were so bad that my re-thread tap was not enough. The flat little disc at the top of the table clamp, was real loose. I had to peen over the holder more to get it not so loose. The arm for swiveling the vise stuck up, and interfered with the depth of the jaw area. I had to adjust that so the handle was level instead of sticking up. If you look at the picture on the ad, you can see how the swivel handle sticks up in the way of the jaw depth.

Only one flaw that I’ve noticed but it tends to affect function significantly. The lock for the rotation is always in the way and never seems to lock or stay locked correctly. It is an awesome little bench vise for your desk or small project table that still has enough usefulness to warrant the purchase.

For smaller grinding work this is a very nice little vice. The price is right as well. It comes with plastic covers for the jaws and the tightening plate, however this vice will not fit on a really thick work bench. While Amazon has an excellent return policy, I really don't think you'll need it. It's well constructed and should last for years. Cheers!

prosOperated nicely out of the box..... operated even better with a little tweaking.Good paint finishJaws close evenlycons- (and how I fixed them)Rubber jaw cover don't fit snuggly- may have to alterSlide milling finish not complete. a little flash left on. easy to fix with disassembly , a fine file and lithium grease.NO retainer clip to prevent sliding jaw falling off worm screw. If you are working on something that big, buy a bigger viceAdded a fender washer under swivel base nut to help distribute the nut tightening force more evenly on casting base. altered the protective pad to fit with the new washer.This is a light weight hobby vice NOT a cast iron SCOUT vice. please don't expect it to be one.

Overall this thing's size makes it very specific to obviously smaller projects. So far, I have only used it to regrip golf clubs. And its been great for that.Even with the rubber vise that comes included with most golf regripping kits, there is just enough space to keep the club steady-see photos. The only down side is the clamp that mounts to the surface is very small, I think its like 1.3 inches or something. That is where this will deter the majority of users. Luckily for me, the table I use is relatively thin at only 1 inch at the edges, so it works for me.The build material is hefty- this is all steel- no plastic parts.For regripping clubs, it works. Not perfect, but for $20 its does what I need.

It is quite small, obviously intended for light use. Looks sturdy but mounting is too close to edge for serious sturdiness. Rotating head is a wonderful feature, but it's locking fastener is if'y. Wouldn't use it for any heavy pieces of material, not sure it would hold up.
