Why Tamp?

- Its the same reason why pro baristas tamp their coffee to brew a shot of espresso.
- When water or hot air is forced through the grounds, it will always take the path of least resistance. If the grounds are not evenly packed, the air will flow through the less dense areas more quickly, resulting in an uneven extraction. Tamping creates a uniform bed of air, which helps to ensure that the air flows through the grounds evenly.
- By tamping the grounds evenly, we connoisseurs ensure a smooth surface that allows air or water to flow uniformly through the grinds, resulting in a more balanced and flavorful material extraction.

Why Stainless Steel?

- Corrosion resistance: Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion, even in harsh environments.
- Strength: Stainless steel is stronger than aluminum and other cheap metals. This makes it a good choice for applications where strength and durability are important.
- Heat resistance: Stainless steel can withstand higher temperatures than aluminum and other cheap metals.
- Appearance: Stainless steel has a polished, shiny appearance that is often preferred over the duller finish of aluminum or other cheap metals.

This is the handiest herb scooper/ stamper I’ve ever used. It has a nice solid weight & packs the best bowl. Heavier than it looks! 😄

This little scoop/tamper is a GREAT buy. Like other reviewers have mentioned, it is very solid -- a heavy weight for its size. This tool will last forever if cared for properly. I was skeptical at first about the width of the scoop, thinking it might be too big, but it works perfectly for loading my glass pipes. At approximately 3 1/8 inches, it is excellent quality, especially for the price. I highly recommend!

I ordered this as I like to scoop my herb into my containers as it sticks to my fingers normally and this thing is amazing, I was expecting it to be a little smaller but I am so happy it isn't as it holds a decent amount in the scoop and it has an end that you can use to pack herb down! It is also very solid, I feel like I can drop this thing 1,000 times and it won't put a dent into it, I actually didn't expect the weight it has to it! This is great for travel and very heavy duty!I would buy again but luckily this is such great quality that I won't have to unless I lose it, which is very likely!!

Good weight and feel; scoop shape is nice for unloading my grinder. But the tamper end is a bit too large to fit the oven of my PAX, which is unfortunately a deal-breaker for me.

Perfect for scooping ground herbs into very small bowls. I haven't had any problems with spilling, but I keep a tray under the bowl just in case. And the tamping tool end is useful, too.

If you know where this company borrowed this scoop/tamp design then you'll probably want to know how close this is to the original. The original is quite a bit more expensive but gets great reviews about it's simple effective design especially if you own a BCG. This version is not the exact same. The scoop is wider at the mouth and is thicker at the point of the scoop. It won't contour the corner of the BCG as exactly as the original. Still at about 1/3 the price it's a no brainer purchase imo. So far it's been a fantastic little tool. Highly recommended.
