Nothing smokeless about it, when it gets going sure but in the interim be prepared for it to shoot smoke out, same with when it dies down. Would be a 4 if the description hadn’t been intentionally vague and misleading

Either I'm using this wrong or it's the product. Can I get a fire going? Yes, but either I'm burning off coatings/chemicals from the factory or I'm doing this wrong. For the first few burns, we see a lot of black coming off the pit even though I'm using higher quality wood - literally wood chunks I use for smoking meat. That being said, it's a nice little fire for smaller spaces like we have in our back patio.

The construction is proper and durable for a small smokeless style fire pit. Some of the edges are sharp though, be careful when handling or assembling.The instructions included were pretty useless, as it is with most of the generic knock off products. Theress a single part, that's a little larger than a shot glass, that I can't figure out what it's for. The instructions completely miss the mark by not showing/listing or describing this extra piece at all.Overall, this thing is CUTE--I mean that in a way that may not be so obvious. It's a fine piece of equipment, but the utility of such a small fire pit is questionable. You have to keep feeding fuel. It's took large to take on a hiking/backpacking trip, but is suitable if you're car camping and can't have fires directly on the ground.The smokeless concept of firepits revolve around the circulation of the fumes and the re-ignition of the gasses---which works in theory, but less so in reality. You can see the ignition of the wood gas at the top of the unit, so it DOES recirculate properly, about as well as any of these devices. But don't expect a truly smoke free fire. Fuel choices will impact your success with smoke free. Ideally, well seasoned hardwood, that's dry. Green/wet will always smoke and are hard to keep lit in such a small pit.Price wise though, if you want a small 'solo' style pit, this thing is hard to beat!

This little rocket stove is the perfect size for tailgate parties or to use on a porch or patio. Decent price, not too smokey.

I used this on a tabletop on the patio. Wasn't much smoke. I've used it with charcoal once and pellets another time, and both burned good for the length of time I was expecting.

I compared to other well known competitors and this functions as well and creates a great tabletop ambiance. I love that the legs are attached whereas others have a separate stand to deal with. I like it.
