This pot works great. It does have a hot spot on the bottom but heats well and cooks even better.

Really well designed pot. Bought it to boil some meats and it works great. I like that the pot and the base are separate components. This allows you to just pick up the pot and take it wherever you want once it's finished cooking. It's also stainless steel so you can eat straight out of the pot which saves you from having to grab a bowl or dish to serve on. Most other models on the market use a nonstick or ceramic pot which can get damaged or chipped easily. You also shouldn't eat directly out of nonstick or ceramic models as a metal utensil can scratch the coating and consuming the coating can be toxic to your health. I've put the pot on the fridge with left overs and reheated it the next day with no issues, so that's pretty cool as well. There are some cons. The knob design can be improved as well as the setting indicator. Knob shouldn't be smooth and could use some embossed pattern or notches for the position indication and to make it easier to turn. The settings should also be imprinted into the pot as eventually they will fade over time. Also there should be a hood that goes over the turning knob to avoid water getting into it from possible over boiling or to prevent water from getting in when cleaning. Cleaning it is easy, but you have to wipe the outside and bottom to avoid possible water from entering inside the pot. It does have some drain ports on the bottom if you do get water inside. The screws on the bottom also have begun to rust. I'm sure I can find replacements at a hardware store, but better screws that don't rust easily would be nice. Also the lid it comes with should be metal as the outer rim began to warp when I first used it. The lid still works, but it definitely could be made from better materials. Definitely use a towel of cooking mitts when removing the lid or let it cool down before touching it as it does get pretty hot.Other than that it's a nice little pot for small living quarters and portability.

This is my go to at home to quickly boil pasta, make bone stock, cook eggs, and many more. It replaced a 3qt pressure cooker at the same counter spot and takes much less space. It heats pretty fast, the mechanism seems to be an on/off setting with a thermostat control, so don't expect super sophisticated temperature control. After many uses I figured out my simmering point is about 1.5 marks after the "slow boil".I feel a little guilty not to give a 5 star, but hope it prompted having a better next generation.*Pros: 1. Detachable base, 2. Continuously adjustable, 3. Stainless steel, 4. Egg rack, 5. Right size for at home cooking and food prep.*Wish be better: 1. Having a pour spout, 2. Heat dial have ribbed grab and marker line extend to side (I drew a Line myself but wore off over time), 3. A timer,4. A smaller version (0.6-0.8L AND

Well, it works great to heat liquids. But it burned everything else. There’s no such thing as low. It was light and easy for traveling, and was great for making tea and heating soup.

Was disappointed when I opened the box to find several growths of mild on glass top and inside the metal pot. Returned.

I live in a box truck and my other little pot like this, and the other three I tried, all made my inverter hum. After further research, trial, and error, I realized I needed a variable temperature controlled device. Thus this AMAZING little pot! It can handle way more than one might expect for a small pot. I've taken a box of Mac and Cheese, one can of Cream of Celery, one can of spinach, several tablespoons of dried onions, one can of tuna, and one a 7 ounce package of Miracle Noodles, ample water and milk to mix and make soupy...and this little pot still had a bit of room left over. And with the adjustable controls, I can reheat in it as well. Oh, and another win is that the bottom doesn't get hot. Love it! I was brokenhearted to give up my other pot, but this one wins hands down.
