I recently changed over to use Lee85 filters for my Panasonic micro 4/3 cameras.I had previously used the MindShift gear Nest filter pouch to carry round filters and a separate pouch for square filters. I wanted something that could carry both and attach to my tripod for ease of access.This is excellent for what I needed, I can carry 6 Lee85 filters in the front sections, plus another 2 Lee85 filters at the front, wrapped in the Lee cloth that was supplied with the filters. I can also carry 6 round filters (up to 77 mm) in the rear sections. There is a rear pocket that can store lens adaptor rings if required.This case is well made and allows my to carry all the filters I might need for landscape photography and fits nicely in my camera bag. I have been using the case since September and have had no issues.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to invest in this but I'm glad I did. Once I started adding all of the filters that I want to take on an upcoming trip, I was pleased. Great purchase!

Sin duda proteger los filtros fotográficos es una de mis preocupaciones. He pasado por todo tipo de estuches, y he tirado mucho dinero a la basura. Para explicaros empecé por El Lowepro -primer modelo- pero no me gustaba el sistema que tenía para contener los filtros -tipo libro- sin protección lateral- Luego compre el bolso Lee de la marca de mis filtros (podías meter 10) con muy buena protección pero no podías guardar en el estuche el porta ni las arandelas adaptadoras (tengo 2) muy importantes en el equipo, ni el portafiltros, esto me obligaba a tener que llevar otro estuche para llevar todo -un asco- prácticamente no me cabían en la mochila fotográfica. Así que después de mucho mirar me decidí por gastar más dinero y comprar este modelo de estuche.Aunque no es perfecto, tiene muchas cosas buenas, la calidad de su confección, su contenedor extraíble interior, su bolsillos pequeños con cremallera interiores y exteriores. El buen sistema para colgar al trípode o a la correa de los pantalones. El interior sin duda podría ser mejor, solo entran 6 filtros 10x15, deberían ser 10 filtros. Los huecos para filtros circulares son todos del mismo tamaño donde no caben los adaptadores del porta grande, ni el filtro polarizador grande de Lee. El portafiltros entra muy bien dentro del estuche. De momento este este es el mejor bolso para filtros que he encontrado, espero no tener que gastar más diner. Love that I can hold and carry all my different round and 150x100 ND filters and not have to dig around and or open so many different cases that hold my filters.This is sturdy & time saving!I love how convenient it is to wrap around the neck of my tripod and have my filters readily available to grab at in a split second if I desire to change them.It saves me time so I can change the filter quickly and not loose time changing my filters.

They did a great job on the design of this filter holder. It's much nicer to have all my filters loaded into a single holder vs. having to sift through multiple individual filter pouches.

I love this system for filters. It has an inner cloth filing wrap with velcro closure that the filters layer into and an outer padded cube that everything zips in to neatly. When I travel I take the whole system with me and when I'm backpacking or just day hiking, the inner part fits perfectly into my Mindshift Backlight 18 pack which has plenty of it's own padding which helps reduce weight and bulk. I love having the outer padded cube for when I carry filters in a non-padded bag like luggage or it can be used to carry a larger lens or other items. Very versatile and well made. The outer cube has a belt loop (I never use) and a small webbing strap and clip.

I have the LeeSeven5 system pouch but once I started filling it with filters, adaptor rings and the holder the pouch soon became a little cramped, hence my purchase of the Mindshift Filter Hive. I found the large pockets an ideal depth for this filter system but did not like the fact that if you placed two filters alongside each other there was the risk of them making contact with each other and the possibility of scratching the surfaces of these expensive pieces of kit. Solution: I purchased some hook & loop tape with adhesive backing and by sticking the course tape back to back and cutting them into narrow strips I was able to partition the large pockets allowing the placement of 2 filters in each without the risk of contact between the two. The adaptor rings fit neatly into the smaller pockets along with cleaning cloths and cable release. I am very happy with the product and the fact that I have a dedicated bag for my filters and accessories.

Excellent way to carry filters of both the square and round variety, as well as the filter holder and all the bits and pieces. Probably the best one on the market in my opinion. Very light, with just enough structure to protect the contents, yet make access easy. Multiple carrying methods (ordinary trouser belt, think tank belt, or hanging from tripod) makes it very adaptable. I would like it if they also sold a lightweight expansion insert that could be added inside in addition to the standard insert, so as to carry a few extra 100x150mm GNDs when needed. For now I use the Filter Hive Mini for the overflow, although the MIni doesn't have its own removable insert and of course would not fit insert the Filter Hive itself (well you can actually squeeze the Mini inside the higher end of the Hive, but the Mini is still a little bit too tall to be entirely practical to be used this way) .

Lee Filterplatten haben die Größe 10x15 cm, dh. sie sind sperrig. Lee liefert jeden Filter in einer stabilen Nylontasche. Wenn man dann ein paar Filter gesammelt hat, braucht man zusammen mit den Adaptern eine eigene, große Fototasche, die dann voller Nylontaschen ist. Das Problem löst diese Box. Sie kann entweder als separate Tasche, beispielsweise am Gürtel getragen werden oder der herausnehmbar Inneneinsatz passt dann doch noch in die normale Fototasche und nimmt dabei bis zu 10 Scheiben sehr gut geschätzt und garantiert kratzerfrei auf oder auch einen Adapter oder herkömmliche Rundfilter wie zB Polfilter. Für größere Rundfilter zB 77mm muss man die Tasche allerdings leicht modifizieren. Dann passt es.

As with any other mindshift gear product that I have used so far, the Filter Hive doesn't fail to impress. Before ordering I was worried that this bag would be too large to add to my Mindshift Gear Rotation 180 backpack, but I was pleasantly surprised how compact it is. I am using this bag to carry my filters ( 2x 100x150, 2x 100x100, 1x 72mm Polorizer, 3x close up kit) along with extra batteries, memory cards and all the lee filter holders and there is still enough place to carry more. The quality and feel is also great... It can definitely be turned into an extra lens bag if filters are not needed for small lenses like 24-70...

This was billed as the best on the market for holding filters and it seemed a good product at a good price. However I have a couple of niggles that mean I don't give it 5 starsFirst is the zip - there is only one and you can only open it the one way which is a bit frustrating. Second is the zip isnt QUITE long enough for the lid to be flipped back and stay back, Im sure over time it will find its way there, but if it was a smidgeon longer, the natural hinge effect would come into play.Also while its perfect to hold my 3 x Hard ND grads and 3 x Soft ND grads and some circular filters, what about my Big Stopper? No where to put that, all 6 slots are filled and the gaps to put the circular filters in are not quite big enough to fit the extra one. Sacrificing a row of circular filters to hold the Big Stopper would have been fine with me.So I have to carry that separately in its tin, which is a bit of a pain.Overall the product appears well designed, is a compact size and I am pleased it fits nearly everything in on portable space.
