Removes standard valve cores (automotive Schrader valves) on one end. The other end is to compress the valve to allow air to escape after threading it on the stem (why the hole in the side). The size makes this perfect for any stem location. Highly recommended for anyone working with motorcycle tires.

I've been using these for over 50 years in the bicycle business. I have many other valve core tools just hoping to be used but THIS IS THE ONE. I've at least a 8 and have given dozens to friends & family over the decades as gifts or stocking stuffers(Aren't Dads that gift tools the best?). Love that it screws on to deflate 'hands free' without actually removing the valve core. Fits nicely in my 'watch pocket' and in the bike bag. Buy yourself several. If anyone asks, tell 'em I said it was OK! You'll find this tool so simple & handy you too will gift one to a friend.

Ideal for doing outer truck tires where there’s no need to pull the rim off. Sometimes can be hard to get the valve stem back in with regular valve stem tools

When you are dealing with tires upwards of 220 psi and you are going to remove the core from the valve stem, this is one of the safest ways. You screw it on like a dust cap and it starts to deflate. Flip it over and remove the core when the psi is reasonably low to fully deflate the tire. The core is kinda trapped in the tool so it shouldn't go flying to oblivion. If you're a tire shop, you should have plenty of these on hand at that price.

These work great. I have to regulate tire pressures often and with a little experience screw it on and you be able to now in how many seconds how many psi you have dropped. Beats having to try to hold the valve open and getting a inconsistent air flow.

This is a nice tool that works great. The only drawback is that it's small and can be easily lost. Would be nice if it was about 4" long with a pocket clip or a lanyard connection point.
