The included 3 stage baffle system offers exceptional moisture removal. This micro filter includes a porous bronze sintered 40 micron filter element which allows fewer pressure drops and longer cleaning intervals. Micro filters remove harmful water or oil condensate, pipe scale, dirt and rust from compressed air systems and are used as pre-filters to coalescing type filters to ensure high efficiency and long element life. The corrosion resistant metal bowl has a capacity of 10 ounces. Maximum of 250 PSI and 245 SCFM.

Works as intended, automatically drains water condensed out of compressed air from the output of my aftercooler on my compressor. Had to build a mount to support the canister

Being made in the USA by Milton, I had very high expectations with this product. The casting is crude and the machining for the threads on the housing is poorly machined as well. Might as well have said Made in China. The machining is so poor that it cuts the o-ring seal and it has leaked since installed. I have replaced three different o-rings and they all fail and leak. Compressor has a max pressure of 180psi which is well within the 250psi limits. I would expect Milton to have a quality control team but they appear to be none existent in this manufacturing process. I should have purchased a Sharpe.

I was very happy to buy this product, especially because it’s one of the very few that is made in the U.S.A. I just finished all my copper piping and fired up my brand new compressor to check for any leaks in any of the over 30+ copper & brass fittings/unions. I ran the compressor up to 125psi, shut down the compressor and not a single hiss(leak) to be heard. So I fire the compressor back up and the pressure is climbing 130,135,140, still no issue’s. I started to think I was in the clear...BUT of course as my luck would have it rite between140-145psi(I’d say 143psi) a loud POP... followed by a LOUD HISS happened. I looked to see where it was coming from and could clearly see and hear it was coming from where the metal cup threads up into the top part of my brand new Milton 3/4” High flow Micro Filter 1022-8. There was a white grease/silicone like substance(I’m guessing some kind of assembly lube) blowing down the side of the cup. Im assuming the gasket or O-ring that is used to seal the cup to the top part had failed. I did check it when I received everything(around June 25th) and the bowl was tight. After the issue it could turn maybe 1/4 of a turn more, so I tried tightening it but to my dismay it was still leaking badly. I understand sometimes brand new things fail but it definitely still sucks. Especially seeing my old filter/regulator is a Sharpe 808A that I’ve had since 1994 and never once has it leaked, even after taking it apart multiple times and reusing the same gasket. So now I will contact Amazon and hopefully not have an issue getting it replaced. Again it failed within the first 5 minutes of any air pressure going threw it.UPDATED REVIEW:So here it is 2 years later and everything was working beautifully… till today when the bowl o-ring on the 1037-8 blew out and the part number Milton has listed for a replacement o-ring is coming up as NOTHING! Definitely not happy. My Sharpe 880-A worked for 24 years without any issues/leaks. Gonna have to try and contact Milton directly on Monday to try to resolve this. Mind u it blew out rite in the middle of working on a customs vehicle.
