Easy-to-Read, Color-Coded Pencil Gauge
This pencil-style brake pad gauge helps to measure the brake pad lining on the vehicle without removing the wheel. Uniquely designed with an easy-to-use and readable color code scale. Red = Replace, Yellow = Caution, Green = Safe. It's a brake pressure gauge manufactured from durable lightweight steel to ensure long-term performance. Constructed to be compact and calibratable for portable ease, this brake pad gauge tool reads from 0 - 20 mm.

Great tool in concept, design is great. Calibration is terrible.The way it's calibrated. You have to measure from outside of pad backing and then subtract backing thickness to be accurate, rather than just measuring from inside of pad.Calibration is non-adjustable.

i give this brake measurement tool one star because its not accurate at all . I work at a Nissan dealership and i perform Multi point inspections on every car that we work on. I purchased it to speed things up and not having to remove the tires to inspect the brake pads since some Nissan vehicles like the Altima's for example have very limited access from the outside . Well i tried on different Nissan vehicles because maybe i thought it was me not measuring right but i saw the video of how to measure it with the tool and your suppose to place the rod end on the rotor and the lip on the backplate of the brake pad . I would be like 5 mm off . I measured the brake pads with a known good brake measuring tool to compare and it was really off. I'm very disappointed in the tool one for it not being accurate and two for the tool being a little bit pricey for the quality of inaccuracy . Definitely would be a great tool if it was accurate .

I'm honestly surprised with how accurate it is while it doesn't stay in my shirt pocket very well it still a awesome tool little pricey but what can you do lol

little inaccurate had to adjust length of stick but works in a pinch to speed things up. lost my first one so bought another a little pricey though.

So far after two weeks this thing has paid for itself. Working in a dealership and having vehicle on the rack without taking the tires off for proper inspection (Which is an extra charge at ours) I am able to get an accurate measurement and advise the customer they may need brakes soon or a full inspection. Great for saving customers money and helping me make some extra.
