I really like this rain hat. It doesn't fold as compactly as some others, but its virtues far outweigh that sole detriment. It is very comfortable, gives full coverage, extends far enough forward to protect my glasses from getting wet, and is large enough so that it doesn't flatten my hairdo. I really like the lining, which seems to give a little air space between my hair/head and the plastic. The ties are very comfortable and stay tied. I really am delighted with this product and highly recommend it

These were popular when I was growing up. My raincoat can cover my hair but not my face and sometimes the hood gets blown off. This fits my hair even when I pull it up high with a clip and tying it on under the chin protects my face and my hair. It can get stuffed in a pocket versus dragging a drippy umbrella around. My raincoat sheds water so it's a good combo not to drip everywhere if I am out and about.

The hat looks nice and large on the model - good coverage from rain. But what I received is definitely NOT this size. Too bad, b/c the concept is excellent - something you can fold up small for your pocket and that really keeps your head and neck dry. In the picture, that brim was big enough to "unfold" somewhat in order to get more coverage, but it's not that way in reality.

It's really cute, ties tight under the chin for when it's raining & windy too. It reminds me of the statue I grew up with in Gloucester Ma dedicated to the fishermen who go down to sea in ships, the man at the helm is dressed in raingear. The hat is very good for keeping the hair dry & it's a cute style & stays secure in the wind. I'd say, though, that it's a bit flimsy & thin. I don't know how durable it will be after some use. The tie looks a little weak.
