I received this as a Christmas present in 2023, and yes, it is still working. This is an incredible way to get away from your phone, and is a worthy investment. At some points I have downloaded probably over 10 playlists, and hours and hours of songs, and it still functions well, though it can sometimes be a bit glitchy. (If you download a ton of music.) I should also note that it also works well with podcasts, and the audio is really good. You do need to connect through the app first, but I also love connecting it to bluetooth speakers. Highly recommend!

Update: My son was able to get it to complete the update sequence on his phone. And now it will update from my app on my phone. I've had it almost a year and with a lot of time and effort, I can get it to work. But every 30 days, it forces me to reconnect because it doesn't recognize my Spotify membership. Says it's a 30 day trial. So it won't play my music. Then I reconnect and download updates, and it won't recognize it. 30 minutes later, I still haven't gone on a run, because I'm monkeying around with this stupid thing. Eventually, with reconnecting and repeating it will work, if you have time to spend on it.Don't waste your money. Find something else. I cannot believe how expensive this thing is. I think that is the only reason I kept trying to make it work. The Mighty 3 is a mighty piece of garbage. I was initially able to get some playlists downloaded from my Spotify account. However, they could not be very large. Then it kept promoting me to initiate an update, which I did. During the update it would just freeze on step 3 and never complete the sequence. So I went to the company's troubleshooting page and walked through all their recommendations: uninstall the app, reinstall the app, turn it off, turn it on, blah blah blah. It still wouldn't update. The last resort was a factory reset. So I did that. And now it doesn't work at all. When I contacted the company, they want me to videotape it not working at all and send them the video. Not sure I'm willing to spend anymore time on this, especially when I don't feel confident they will make good on their warranty promise. Also, to video it's inability to function with the app on my phone, I need to involve someone else to take the video. So nothing about any of this is convenient. If only I could find a use for a little plastic square with a blinking light that does absolutely nothing. Also, I spent 125.00 on this piece of junk.

I’ve run with a Mighty Vibe since 2020. That little lime green powerhouse still works flawlessly, loading playlists from Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited smoothly. But, over four years of constant use and 14000 rain-or-shine kilometers, the battery in my Vibe is finally giving up the ghost. I decided to upgrade to the latest Mighty version-the “3”, with longer battery life and more storage of up to 1000 songs. The two units look similar, with the 3 being slightly thinner and having a larger, and different shaped LCD.The transition to the 3 was not a smooth. Orginally, there was no support for Amazon Unlimited, and I found my Spotify playlists would hang and not load. I contacted tech support, and was impressed with the service. My emails were answered same day, and the tech I worked with was friendly and patient. (I’m a boomer, so you can guess how patient Dexter had to be trying to help. :-) )With the release of the latest software, my Mighty 3 runs perfectly. Spotify and Amazon load smoothly, and Bluetooth headphones are easy to link. With Spotify you can set the Mighty 3 to update selected playlists automatically, so there is always fresh music on your device. Bear in mind, you will need paid premium subscriptions to either Spotify or Amazon Music.Hear’s a bit of “PRO” advice. :-) Label your charging/data cord as I guarentee you will misplace that tiny cable and have to tear your house apart looking for it. (Don’t ask me how I know this.)In conclusion, the Mighty 3 is a great running buddy. I’m an ultra runner, and hate to carry a phone with me. Mighty 3 is a one trick pony, and that’s a good thing. It plays music without all the notifications and distractions of a phone. It weighs nothing at 20 grams-less than half the weight of a gel, is very water resistant (IPX4-don’t go swimming with this, though there is a totally waterproof version which I’ve not tested.), allows you to easily select a playlist and shuffle tracks. The physical buttons are well laid out and easy to work even with the mitts we wear winter running. We’ve come a long way from the days I would run with my beloved Sony DD cassette player and a 90 minute mixtape.

Tons of trouble syncing the playlists, only certain headphones work well, audio cuts out, controls suddenly stop working, playlists suddenly stop working, moving in and out of wifi causes issues.Connecting to the actual Mighty is simple. Syncing Spotify is very difficult. It took me over an hour to sync the first time after several attempts of: power cycling, logging in/out, uninstalling/reinstalling, hard resets, clicking sync repeatedly. Eventually it synced. Syncing after that presented the same problems and I'd often get too many 59/58 or too few 39/40 songs synced. It took several days for the update to work (stuck on downloading). The syncing did not improve after the update. The audio is terrible. If you move just out of wifi you'll start getting skipping (even though its supposed to be downloaded). Pause/FWD/RVRS controls don't work on the headphones. I own several headphones and only beats worked consistently. Other headphones stuttered randomly no matter my location. The audio controls can suddenly stop working, like not being able to control volume. Playlists can refuse to play anymore.A minor issue is it's greedy with the Bluetooth connection and will steal the connection if you try to connect the same headphones to multiple devices. If you connect to the Mighty, you can only connect to the Mighty unless you leave it turned off.I do like the size. I like the concept. I don't like the device.

Had it several weeks for gym use and running with Beats Studio+ or Open Run headphones and syncing using a high end 5G Android tablet. This thing is small, weights nothing and clips anywhere.Syncing with Spotify and connecting with the phones has been flawless. The Android app is clear and easy to use. No issues.I generally do not do reviews, but this is one product that is designed and performs as advertised. Since I prefer not to use a smartphone (using a flip phone on the go with a tablet around the house), the Mighty has proved perfect for working out. Simple and it works. There have been very infrequent (maybe twice so far) tracks that had 1-2 seconds of static, but it's uncertain whether that is a corrupted download, the bluetooth connection, or the Mighty. The only means of changing the exact play order on the unit is to change it in Spotify and resync. The Mighty can be switched to shuttle.Do I wish it had a longer battery life for traveling? Yes, but it is as advertised at 8 hrs and comfortably meets the gym or 5K duration. Also, it uses a small phono type plug/USB A dongle for recharging; I would prefer a USB C, B or a more easily replaceable non-proprietary interface.I generally do not do reviews, but this is one product that is designed and performs as advertised. Since I prefer not to use a smartphone (using a flip phone on the go with a tablet around the house), the Mighty has proved perfect for the gym and running. Simple and it works.UPDATE: I have found that with the Studio Beats the Mighty intermittently fails to automatically launch the next track which can be pain while on a treadmill. The Beats Studio Buds (an Apple product) required an Android app to pair with the Android 13 tablet that runs the Spotify and feeds my Mighty. Using the Trekz or using a plug-in headphone works absolutely without fail. The manufacturer should target this for a software fix.
