This filter is a huge improvement from the original and 100% gets rid of the gross smells emanating from using the vacuum! I am happy with my Miele again!

Good filter for very fine particles. I like my vacuum cleaner. It's the best one I ever had, which it should be at the price I paid for the cleaner and continue to pay for bags and filters. But this filter does get all the super fine stuff. It's the third filter in a row for the vacuum's air: first, there's the bag; next, the coarser filter that filters air from the bag compartment; then this finer one. Oops... time to go vacuum...

This filter works!! I have two large dogs and it eliminates their odor. Super easy to install. A bit pricey considering how quickly i needed to change it.

Nothing better than using the original manufacturer filters. Like a fool I originally went to the vacuum store where i purchased my vacuum and bought a box of filters. I thought, yikes that seemed expensive. Came home, clicked on Amazon and was embarrassed that I had just paid 3x more for the exact same product. The exact same product. Well shame on me for not doing my homework. These filters are absolutely perfect as I say nothing better than using the original manufacturer product for function and ease of use.

These Miele filters are essential! Every Miele vacuum should have these replaces regularly, as well as the carbon filters that are changed with each box of bags.

Works well with vacuum and lasts a while! Had to switch to a new one since the vacuum smelled when we used it. Replacing the filter fixed the issue !

This filter fits the Miele New Complete C3 Cat & Dog Canister Vacuum Cleaner, purchased by my sister to clean after her 2 very fluffy Persian cats. Miele recommends that the filter be changed once a year or after about 50 hours of use. My sister had used the original filter for 2 years, by which time it was blackened by material from the carbon brushes in the motor (normal part of operation), even though the Timestrip indicator on the side of the filter was still green. An Internet search revealed that the user is supposed to press the green arrow to activate the Timestrip so it releases a red indicator fluid that fills the window; the filter needs to be replaced when the red color reaches the right end of the strip. No harm done; we replaced the original with a new Active AirClean 50 Filter and pressed the Timestrip this time, and enjoyed the fresher air after the first filter use. With Miele’s superb quality and the annual replacement schedule, this filter is a great value.

Kind of expensive for a filter, but hey it's a Miele and everything they sell is overpriced. This filter is filled with activated granular carbon pellets; you can shake it and hear them rattle around. It's not a HEPA filter but since the air is going through both the bag filter and this filter, you're gonna get pretty decent filtering. It does a fairly good job of eliminating odor, but there is still some. The Time Strip is basically a gimmick; just write down the date on a piece of tape and stick it to the outside of the vac where you can actually see it. And in case you're wondering, no, Miele does not make a HEPA + carbon filter anymore, it's one or the other.
