I bought this bore sighting tool because it was highly rated! The price was right! And it was versatile with all the Mandrel pieces needed for a wide variety of calibers. All those who commented on this item in posts, the statements was made that it was not intended for final sight in….. but just to get you on paper. I used it to get my scope mounted on my new rifle. I finally got to the range and started the sight in by shooting five shots at 25 yards. Amazingly the group was tight (1/2” c to c) and was 3/4” high and 1/2” left of aim point. Very good product! Buy with confidence.

the entire battery system needs a complete rethink and overhaul. currently, the way it stands, it is nearly impossible to deal with the batteries once they run down. And they run down. Far too quickly in humble opinion. I have cat playtoy lasers that use the same quantity and number of LR44 cells and they run for hours before I have to change them. granted, they never are used in bright daylight nor for distances greater than 20 feet so the cells in the boresighter are doing far more, operating at high noon (sometimes) and working with objects a solid 25 yards away, sometimes more (at night 50 yards is common)

Works great for getting on paper before hitting the range. I am able to get the sights withing a couple of inches of being perfectly dialed before i expend any ammunition. Nice that it fits pretty much every caliber on the market.

This doesn't hold center when you secure it into the bore. It's impossible to tell when it's aligned properly.

Easy to use and includes everything you need. Very useful for getting your rounds on the paper and then dialling it in from there. Definitely recommend.

The item works but....do not overtighten it. snug it to the end of the muzzle. I tried this with a steel spacer on a lathe and overtightening it makes the optical axis wander off center. By gently snugging it, you'll stay on center with the barrel axis and help properly sight your sights. Of course, there is no substitute for a proper zero at the range. The battery capsule is a pain to insert but push it a bit harder and it snaps in.

Does what it claims, some folks said its loose in the barrel. But the instructions clearly say tighten the screw until the plug is snug in the barrel
