Like others said, this item melts after about 10 uses. The plastic actually melts as its holding your bacon.

Such a simple concept and works amazingly well! I will never cook bacon any other way again. Made crispy delicious bacon quickly with little to no zero mess in the microwave. You can fit a whole a pound on it at once but it does take longer to cook. I preferred to cook half a pound at a time for 8 minutes. Easy. Fast. Delicious.No mess. Love this product. BLTs all summer 😋

The ad said crispy bacon...it wasn't crispy, it was soggy! It also spattered fat all over the microwave oven.

Here's the sekret for using this contraption - ONE (01) MINUTE PER SLICE. I tried cooking some bog-standard President's Choice bacon to the instructions (so-called "2 slices = 1 minute), and it was rawwwwwwww.Mind you, like the sad lonely lad I am, I was only using a $39.99 Walmart microwave. YMMV.

We were excited to get this because we hate the smell of bacon permeating everything when cooked on the stove and I hate the grease splatter. What we were thinking about was the fact that the grease would still pop. Therefore, I had to clean up the microwave instead of the stove. Also, the crispy/chewy are not the same as crispy/chewy when made on the stove or in the oven. The chewy in the microwave doesn't seem fully cooked and the crispy comes across as kind if tough, not the crispy deliciousness that I get when I cook it.It was easy to load and throw in the dishwasher afterwards. So for convenience, it was great. The end result wasn't awful it just wasn't what we like and I still had to clean up some grease.This will probably end up in the donate pile for us.

I've used this product a few times.. First, perfect bacon.. only cooked a few strips. Second and third time I tried to cook a pound of bacon, and the bacon was not cooked evenly. Other reviewers have shown images of their bacon wizard melting while cooking bacon, very concerning as the product is probably leeching plastic into your bacon even if it doesn't completely melt.I would say this might be worth it if you only cared to cook a few pieces of bacon at a time (and you didn't mind potentially eating plastic), but you get bacon grease all over the microwave regardless. For that reason you might as well cook a pound of bacon at a time to justify the hassle of cleanup. I have not had any luck covering the product with paper towels to catch flying grease, they just slide off the rack as it rotates around in the microwave.I probably won't be using this to cook bacon again considering the melting plastic.

I bought this on a whim...and a 6 pack. Honestly, I didn't remember ordering it so when it got to my house, I knew it was one of my late Saturday night Amazon "great ideas".I love it! I only buy the thick cut bacon so the times listed on the box were useless but I was really impressed by how small of a footprint the unit has and how incredibly easy to handle/clean. I would tell the manufacturer to add a bit of a pour lip on one side since some of use save the bacon grease for other uses and this doesn't pout out as well as I'd like.My first go was 8 thick cut slices. I did 4 min. as the box stated and realized they were not close to ready. I did 3 subsequent 2 minute runs to hit my preferred texture for bacon - CHEWY. I do NOT like crispy bacon so my review is only for those, like myself, who like bacon thoroughly cooked but with a bit of chew/tear to it.I'll keep playing with it to get my time points for a perfect cook.I've tried a number of microwave bacon cookers and this is by far my favorite.

I find I have to cook it a lot longer for the crispness but this is a much easier and cleaner way to cook bacon in terms of grease containment and overall cleanup.I don’t find the bacon as tasty as when baked on a cookie sheet so I would likely go with a heavier smoked or flavoured bacon (I.e: maple or sometime similar).But quick and easy way to cook a couple of slices versus the whole pack.
