See what the pros are saying: "It’s incredibly easy to set—just slide it down on your workpiece, and pull the lever to clamp down. With its ratchet mechanism, each click makes for a slightly tighter hold until you get the holding strength you need. When you’re clamping upside down, a pivot spring keeps the clamp arm from sliding back down when you let go of it. And once you have the clamp set, you don’t have to worry about vibrations working it loose. It’s an easy-to-use, secure design that reduces your frustration and the amount of rework you need to do." – Pro Tool Innovation Awards "The foot firmly ratchets into place and includes a spring mechanism to allow it to maintain its setting despite gravity’s best efforts. The angle of the foot is designed to work with a 14-degree dovetail as well so this clamp allows for completely custom jig and clamp designs that can be reconfigured with ease." – Tool Box Buzz "Most ratcheting clamps are free to fall down when loosened, forcing you to reset them every time you secure them. That won’t happen with Microjig's new MatchFit Dovetail Ratchet Clamp AP. Once the ratchet pressure is released, you can reposition the clamp or move the stock it secures, then re-clamp without needing to fully reset the arm." – Woodworker's Journal Trust in the legacy of Microjig. These aren’t cheap but they are excellent clamps. The ratcheting action makes them very quick and easy to use.

This is my favorite of all the ratcheting clamps out there. Obviously, works with the matchfit system. Also works with both Festool and Milwaukee tracksaw tracks to clamp them down. The added friction fitting keeps the clamp from falling too. Great job MicroJig.

These are pretty easy to set although you kinda have to hold them from slipping when trying to get the height set. The ratchet handle can be a long and mighty get in the way of your work depending on what you are doing. I’m glad I got them and one pair is enough.

I’m a big fan of Microjig stuff and this didn’t disappoint. Makes clamping with a dovetail track quick and easy, and the AP spring keeps it from sliding down the rail when you release the tension. I’m going to get a few more of these and sell off the screw-down style that I have.

This Microjig ratchetting clamp grips your workpiece tightly and securely. Like all Microjig products, it is very well made and is of good quality. I have been using the original screw handle Microjig clamps and this new ratchetting version feels more rugged and secure. However, I did find it a bit difficult to make very fine workpiece adjustments with this clamp. With the screw clamps, you can back off pressure just enough to jog your workpiece slightly. I found this more difficult to do with the ratchet clamp and it took a bit more trial and error to perfectly clamp my workpiece. Overall, the time saved as compared to the hand screw version was more than lost in fussing with the ratchet. I suspect that with a bit more time, I will develop a feel for this clamp and overcome this limitation.Overall, I am pleased with this clamp as it is rugged, offers a excellent clamping pressure and in most instances, it is quick and easy to use.

In the interest of full disclosure, as a trusted and unbiased Amazon reviewer, I was able to request this product free of charge.Quality clamp which extends to support a larger clamping area. The bar is thicker and also has a spring which makes it easier to slide the clamp. The ratchet mechanism is heavy duty and from use I can tell you that it holds items very securely. I don't have an accurate way to measure the clamping pressure, but these clamps should let you achieve a greater clamping pressure than the smaller versions. With the ratchet controlled by the handle it is also much easier and convenient to tighten. How I use this:This clamp uses the same dovetail slot as the other clamps made by this manufacturer. The throat is larger and consequently it can clamp larger items. I have a clamping table that I constructed with a grid of dovetail grooves. I use this clamp to support larger items or when I need a greater clamping force. The extra length that this provides is approximately 2 inches more than the smaller versions. Since it is easier to adjust, this is usually the first clamp that I grab.

This type of clamp is very common now. It makes me sad that I used to be able to get 2 clamps for $45 dollars just about 3 years ago and now you just get one.....But it's a little better than my Bessey clamps. It has an interesting little feature with a little spring pressing against the shaft that keeps the handle from falling when it's upside down. It's a little bit more difficult to move because of it. Not really a problem, you just have to get used to tipping the handle down to get it to slide. you have to basically do the same thing on others. You can insert these in 3/4 inch bench dog holes but only around the edges of your table, maybe 5 inches in. There are many tracks that you can buy that these will slide in to. I have been using my Besseys on my tracksaw tracks. But you can never have enough clamps. I have a track to install on the front of my work table so I can use these to clamp material on edge to sand. So I will probably still need to get one more. This is a good one to get. Just wish they were cheaper 😅

These are a great accessory for the microjig system. I recently used the clamps and the microjig router bit to create a longer table saw infeed for my miter gauge.
