I took this to the hospital with me to test against the hospital's expensive equipment before I was to have a surgical procedure done, tested it was prior to going into surgery and got identical reading from my unit and their equipment, that was good enough for me to trust the accuracy of my device.

I purchased this pulse oximeter for our family's use. Four of the three of us have asthma, seasonal allergies, and I recently had pneumonia, so I've been wanting to purchase one for quite a while. I thought they would cost too much or they wouldn't work, but I was pleasantly surprised at the price and how well it's working! The reading is the same as the professional Pulse O2 meters at hospitals and doctor offices.I love that it came with a little pouch and a lanyard! I keep it hung up where I know I can find it when we need it and the pouch keeps it clean. The auto off feature and the fact that it turns depending on how I'm using it (wearing it or reading it on one of the kids) are very helpful features! With the extent of the breathing troubles we have in our home, I feel much more comfortable knowing I have a quick way to check that my family is safe and healthy.

mibest Silver Dual Color OLED Finger Pulse Oximeter & Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor was easy to set up.Not much to do: place batteries in the compartment using the diagram that's visible when you remove the battery compartment cover. You do need to press down lightly and push a little in the direction indicated. If I remember correctly, I read a review where someone had a problem getting the battery compartment cover off. It's really not difficult, unless you're trying to push in the wrong direction or not pressing down at all. I found using the heel of my hand the easiest method. To attach the lanyard, simply thread the thin, small loop into the hole intended for that purpose. It's identified in the full directions, if you need help locating it. Once you have the small loop completely through, thread the long cord through the loop and pull, tightening in place. Viola! Lanyard is attached.Depress power button, place your finger inside and wait. It took a few seconds. Actually the first time it took longer than I thought it would. I was just about to switch to another finger when it changed from the bars to the reading.Assuming it's accurate, it works. I had no idea what my oxygen level was but I had a pretty good idea on my pulse rate. It was right in the range I expected that to be. I gave it 4 stars because I can't verify the accuracy. If I remember to take it with me the next time I go to the MD, I'll compare it with theirs. I'll re-evaluate editing this review going to 5 stars if we agree and lowering the stars if there's a meaningful discrepancy. Until then, this is a firm 4 stars maybe even 5.Note: The only other thing I have to say is the directions say to remove the film from the display before using....just one problem, there was no film. The unit was sealed in a plastic bag so maybe they're no longer using the film.It was packaged well & arrived when expected. This is not a heavier, heavy duty one you may be familiar with if you've ever been hospitalized, but then it doesn't need to be. Although light weight, I think if treated properly andnot misused, it should last for years with only a change of batteries now & then.

Early days but I’m delighted with the performance and accuracy of my “mibest Silver Dual Color OLED Finger Pulse Oximeter”. It’s oxygen reading results compare with those I receive at the Dr’s Office. I’ve got the readings from the device within seconds of sticking my finger in it. It’s displays are very easy to read and that’s a plus for someone whose sight isn’t as good as it was when I was younger. The only down side is that it took a month after I ordered it to arrive. A day or so after I ordered it I saw that it was no longer available on Amazon so I wondered if my order would be fulfilled. Thankfully the company honored my order.Inserting batteries and the mechanism for closing the battery lid could be improved. It’s a very delicate cover… a little more plastic would strengthen it and the attaching clamps.Would DEFINATELY recommend this product to anyone! Time will tell how well it holds up but I’m optimistic. Finally after a fare amount of research I believe the best finger to use when getting a reading is the middle finger. At least with me it has the most flesh to scan. If you have long fingernails cut them!

My parents started feeling ill a few weeks ago and got screened for Coronavirus on December 10th. Both were positive. My dad, who is nearly 70 had already shaken the flu-like symptoms and broke his fever but, was very tired. My mom, in her mid-60s, wasn’t showing any signs of progress. Her stamina was nonexistent and a trip to the kitchen and back to the bed completely zapped her. I ordered two of these pulse oximeters and had them delivered to them 8 hours away. My order was filled, shipped, and delivered VERY quickly. In fact, I believe they were 2 days earlier than the estimate. They were so easy to set up that they didn’t even have to call me. The display is bright enough and large enough that my mom didn’t have to put in her contacts to read them. As for the accuracy, they must be pretty close. My mom’s O2 was ~82 so I made her call her doctor. She was instructed to go to the E.R. where she received supplemental O2 and observation for 4 days. She came home on Dec. 23rd and I can’t describe how thankful I am.If you’re considering purchasing an oximeter, do it now! Don’t wait until you’ve got nothing left to fight with.
