There I was, staring at a pile of DMX cables and lights strewn about the stage. I knew what I wanted. DMX lights, connected to our lighting rig. The problem is that the DMX feed from the sound booth came into the stage at the very rear, in the center. That was fine, but if I wanted to place portable DMX lights all across the back and both sides of the stage, it would mean that I’d have to string lights all the way to one side, and then allllll the way back to the other side, past the original feed. Enter this nifty little unit.I plugged it in to a power source. I plugged in the DMX feed from the lighting rig. Then I ran as many cables as I wanted from that one central point, using the four outputs. And do you know what happened? It worked. First time. I’ve never touched it since. And if that doesn’t make an idiot proud, I don’t know what does.

We had several 50' DMX runs did not know we needed a DMX boost to the signal. After fighting with cords and troubleshooting we ordered 3 of these. We have had no problems since the boosters were installed. Great product and great value.

Works just like the more expensive units. No problems with my DMX lines using this. Super value for what you get. Wow. I wish I hadn’t wasted money on the more expensive opto isolators and splitters in the past.

On an extremely long DMX run, part of a permanent installation, we were having difficulty obtaining reliable performance of all fixtures while connected in a single, terminated circuit. I remote mounted MFL 4-Way Isolated DMX Splitter Amplifier Distributor approximately 230 feet from the control head and isolated two separate DMX, terminated circuits from one another. We now have reliable performance on both DMX groups. This product works extremely well, was exactly what our design needed given the installation restrictions/demands.

I have one of these installed over a catwalk, with only one fixture between it and my host device. So far, I am only using three of the four outputs, but it has helped me to organize my DMX runs up above the ceiling and in doing so has actually made some of my DMX runs shorter, as I don't have to loop back and forth as much as I would have had to without it. This repeater also worked well with an RF transmitter/receiver set, on both DMX in and out, which I only needed to do short term. When I add a second universe, either because I run out of addresses (still have about half left) or need to do so for installation and cable management purposes, I will add a second one of these to the collection. It seems sturdy enough to take a bit of abuse; mine survived being stepped on a couple times during the initial install and banged against steel beams at least once getting to its final location.
