Unlike a hammock that could move, this is ziptied in do it's stationary. I suspended it above the litterbox. This left ample room at the front of the kennel for food and water dishes and gives my cat room to maneuver to and in the litterbox. Because it's stationary, it remains securely in place when he hops up on it. On a 1500+ mile roadtrip (in 2 days), he spent 90% of his time up there. It allowed him clear viewing of everything around him which, in turn, made for a less stressful travel experience. No more panic attacks due to the close confines of his smaller carrier and none of the incessant whining. Slept quite comfortably up there. Quite the game changer for our traveling.
