Worked great!!! The last dog door got brittle and broke during a cold snap here in northern WI. This does have a smell to it but it’s much more flexible / rubber like. I cut slits and actually overlapped the flaps to make a double door. Our livestock guardian dog loves it when the barn is too warm but it’s too cold to stay out without shelter. Will probably use on some cat houses for stray cats too.

I had to throw this , even after washing it smelled like skunk and my cats refused to go near the door I was trying to give them access to. It was nice and heavy and easy to adjust if they can just fix the stink.

The product is well made, thick, undamaged but it really smells. If it wasn't for the odor we probably would have given it at least 4 stars. We left it outside, washed it numerous times and still the odor persists. We won't be using it for the original purpose but may find something for outside down the road.

We bought a doggie door with doors that opened vertically. The springs on those doors wore out very quickly, so we had to find replacements. The manufacturer of that doggie door unit does not just sell replacement doors so we had to compromise. This was an excellent choice! It’s thick so it keeps out the cold air and since it comes in a roll, it’s cut to size. Highly recommend this product. I would have had to pay full price again for the “off sized” unit just to replace the doors. So glad I found this…it’s perfect!

Easy to cut. Holds up in the cold. Holds up in the heat. Keeps the rain out. It does have a strong smell when you first open it but it goes away. I have 2 medium sized dogs that run in and out all day. It's been scratched at, ran through, weathered and is in just as good of shape as when I put it up.Bought a roll. Used it to replace a dog door on a screen door. (Made my own as a cheap fix) I had an igloo door up first. With the weather and heavy use it got hard, dingy, and cracked at the closer screws and broke off. This material has hold up great throughout all the weather and use. Still clear as new, soft and lays flat. Plenty of extra if it ever needs to be replaced.

It is a high quality material and that worked great. One thing that kept from a 5 star was holy h*ll it smells so bad. Other than that it's great.

I wanted this to cover a home made cat door about 12 inches high. Once cut, because it is so short, the flaps stick to each other so the cat door opening is not covered. The material is too thick and needs to be more floppy. The cat thinks it is solid so is reluctant to go through unless I hold up the flaps. Rather defeats the object. Back to the drawing board! Not a very useful product.
