I want to say, this is a fairly nice snuffle mat - I teach puppy classes and I am always looking for good mats I can bring to classes to show puppy parents ways to entertain their new arrivals. My concerns on this particular mat are three things. First - I really dislike velcro when it comes to anything that wears a fur coat. Dog & cat fur stick to it, and pretty soon, it doesn't hook/loop together and cleaning it is hard. I also don't really like the "cheese" which is attached by the velcro - something to encourage the puppy to pull on all parts of the mat in the hopes of getting another toy or treat likely isn't a great thing. The last part is simply having something that can get pulled off, de-stuffed and possibly ingested, as the puppy is trying to get food from it. On the pro side, it seems to be well sewn, and while a nice size, not as large as some I have.

I got this for my cats and they were a little clueless as to what it was. I would show them a treat and then stick it in the mat but they were not amused. The only thing they did like was the cheese which does have a squeaker in it. I think this would be cute for a small dog. The mat is kinda small. The design looks a little messy but I guess thats the point so they have to use their nose to find the treat. It does have loops so you could potentially put it up against the wall or hang it up easily when not in use
