After giving these locks months to prove themselves I can finally give you an honest review. These locks are cheaply made with a half brained design. they weather poorly, jam up easily, and are a pain to lock/unlock. This isn't helped by the skinny key design which lends itself to breaking at the base. It really blows my mind that a team of people thought this bolt/lock combination was a good idea and then had the gall to sell it.

Purchased this in April 2023. The other trailer tongue lock I purchased was too thick in diameter. This fit the hole perfectly and when locked, it is snug. One could break it off if they had some tools, but it should slow down a thief if not deter them. And for $13+tax, it's a worthwhile investment.I hadn't checked on my trailer in several months. This lock is fully exposed to sun and rain. Amazingly, it unlocked rather easily. However, it was not willing to lock up. I have a ball lock, so I just left that on the trailer and took this one home to try to lubricate the mechanism. Some CLP (lubricant for cleaning firearms) and some wiggling, inserting and removing the key, and it's back to brand new! I recommend this little lock to help prevent theft of your trailer. Just check fitment. You might buy two different locks and see which fits best, then return one.

For all this product I like it’s overall a really good product it does his job I purchased it so that I could put it through the front part of my hitch on my snowmobile trailer so no one could steal my Snowmobile’s and my Snowmobile Trail only thing I don’t like about it is I don’t like the key part of it because especially for a snowmobile trailer if it’s cold out, sometimes the key area where you stick the key into freezes and you can’t get the key into it well if you can’t get the key into this hole for this lock, it’s super hard to either hook up your snowmobile trailer or take your snowmobile trailer off of your vehicleOverall, it’s a great product and it’s made of durability. I would recommend this more if you are using it in summer months or somewhere, warm in the state of Wisconsin.

First of all I also read some of the other reviews which I always do just for a guidance. IT'S A LOCK THAT WORKS WELL !! If you're looking for a lock to secure Fort Knox this won't work for you. However, for a trailer or other possible means it works fantastic. The lock itself is durable for what I need and will definitely serve its purpose. The price for the product in my opinion is very reasonable.
