Material seems good, however, I have a medium size dog and bought the large size collar since I know sizes can be off and I wanted to avoid fit issues, but the collar does not even fit my dog so I wont be able to use it. I can still use the leash, but I will have to look for and purchase a different collar. Very disappointed since we will be flying shortly and I don't know if I will have time to find another collar for him.

Had to get for our dog who is allergic to metal. Works great for what we got it for. It is metal free so it is the first collar she has worn comfortably and with no allergic reactions. She is much happier now that she doesn't think her collar is trying to get her.

I ordered this for my service dog, hoping he would be able to wear it for our first flight. Luckily he is well trained, because he was unable to use this. I measured him before ordering and ordered the appropriate size, but when it arrived, it did not even fit half way around his neck. I also didn't like the material of the collar and leash and do not think it would have been very comfortable. It felt cheaply made and is not something I would put on my service dog, even if it had fit.

I received my item, and I was very disappointed to find out that it did not fit my Rockweiler dog at all “to Little. thank God, I had a black dog leash that look identical, thicker & wider. So I cut it and installed it with my sewing machine into the dog leash and solve my own problem. I order a large, because a large is what my dog use and no way your collar didn’t fit my big service dog. I leave Monday the 20th flying out and it’s too late to re-order “so I had to do what I had to do. I don’t think it’s American brand, because my dog always uses a large. Thank God I know how to sew because I had to put it together with another dog leash material.

I wanted to write review after I had used the collar and leash during a trip. Traveled with our 15 lb dash hound through Orlando International over the Christmas Holidays. The collar made it easier to get through the TSA scanner, however, was asked to remove the leash. There is no metal on either the collar or the lease and not sure how well they would hold up if dog was pulling on the leash. Once you get through TSA you can put your pet's tagged collar back on and use your stronger leash for the remained of your trip. Having the TSA collar was worth the peace of mind and the ease of getting through security.

I just received this collar/leash set and took my dog on a lengthy walk. This is not her permanent leash nor did I buy for that purpose. For quickly navigating airport security I have not seen a better choice. I have a 22lb small dog and I don’t think I’d use this set on a larger dog, nor would a larger animal qualify for cabin travel. This lead and collar will certainly control a well socialized animal through the airport. Once through TSA her normal collar and lead will be put back on. I know the others flyers, my dog and thr TSA will appreciate my planning ahead. The value here is more than worth the price. Good on the sellers too ad it arrived two days before the guaranteed ship date.Sturdy Product for the short duration I need it, great value to all abc fast shipping to boot.

As far as I can tell, the company that sells this TSA hassle-free leash and collar combo has zero competition and therefore is selling the cheapest quality crap for as much $$ as they think people will pay them for. And it's not even Prime. For God's sake, just make the dang set $17.99 and ship it free/fast.The pros: I like the idea behind this kit. It basically comes with everything you need to fly with your pet other than the carrier (and a fur baby). There's a luggage tag, collar, collar tag, and leash. There are no metal fittings on the collar, leash, or collar tag so you are good to go with your dog through the x-ray machine while still maintaining some positive control over your twisting, howling, thrashing miniature banshee (maybe this is just me).The cons: everything is made out of cheap, crappy materials. The leash and collar are THIN: 1/2 wide and cheap, thin nylon. The leash is hilariously flimsy. Even your non-chewer dog could eat through it in 2 bites. The collar is also SMALL (I bought size small). I have a 14lb basenji and it barely fits around his neck safely. The luggage tag and collar tag are similarly cheap. The are plastic, but it's pretty conceivable that they won't last one trip if your pet carrier is handled roughly (like stuffed under the seat). The collar tag is weirdly thin and large, so I won't be surprised if one of my dogs rips his off. The hardware on the collar, and particularly the clip on the leash, are very cheap. The leash clip clearly has about 4 uses in it before it snaps in two. Here's the thing, KC Pet Products. I have 2 dogs, an Italian Greyhound and a Basenji, who are both 14 lbs. My IG gets anxious, and my Basenji...well he is a Basenji (Basenji's are like TSA agents: they love checking out what's in your bag and absconding with any goodies they find, they definitely run the place, they need to get their own way, and you are completely inferior to them. They also go berserk after taking a poop, which I'm positive is TSA job requirement). For both pups I have super nice, super expensive SleepyPod carriers (seriously, super expensive). I bought SleepyPods after having a cheap carrier that nearly resulted in Airport Disaster. That moment when I have to take the dogs out of their carrier and walk them calmly through the metal detector is stressful, EVEN WITHOUT THE DOGS. It's 10,000 times worse walking through with one dog that's shaking he's so nervous and the other thinking that he is Genghis Khan (people who have Basenjis know what I'm talking about). I'm basically paying the $18 or whatever this dumb metal-free leash and collar set costs once you pay for shipping for a shred of peace of mind for a moment that lasts 15 seconds. There were other options, KC Pet Products. For example, here's the kind of serious, heavy duty metal free dog leash and collar set people like me are dreaming of: (oh wait, Amazon won't let me post a link to a non-Amazon website. So just google "Sew4Home dog collar")Here's an indestructible pet tag that could be the only thing that gets your pet returned to you rather than sent the shelter, should your pet happen to board the flight for Dallas rather than share your flight to Pittsburgh (ok, maybe this is just me): ("etsy CNATTAGSLLCSTORE acrylic")Zip tie this tag to the Sew4Home collar. That would work.THESE pieces won't fail me no matter if (when) my Basenji decides to launch the next land invasion of Asia while I'm putting my shoes back on at LAX. I would ABSOLUTELY PAY for quality products like these. Unfortunately Sew4Home doesn't sell finished products. More unfortunately, what you get from KC Pet Products will definitely NOT stop a Basenji land war. :-(Bottom line: I own this, and will use this, cause I have to. It's a total scam for the price though.

Excellent product. I had no problem getting through TSA with my 19 lb cocker spaniel on this leash. No buzzing on metal and no need to carry her through the scanner. It is not strong enough to hold a heavy dog with a tendency to pull but it holds up to a good tug.
