In the southeast the sun eventually causes everything to crack, bend or even disintegrate. That's what happened to our old garage doorbell. My husband installed this new one in minutes, probably 15 at most including testing if works properly. Another positive is that this replacement doorbell is metal...not plastic! Hubby says it will last a very long time. Ding dong.

Changed out mother-in-laws doorbell quick and easy. Nice fit, good quality, works. Much better than the plastic brittle old one. Great color, metal.

I bought these product believing it would be more durable since it is made of metal. I was replacing plastic switches that had worn out after 17 years. After 4 months this product became hard to activate. I have to press 4 to 7 times to open the garage door, the same problem I had with my 17 year old switch.
