It is very easy to out together. The material seems high quality and it is sturdy. It's very comfortable. I have nerve damage in my neck and arms along with decreased strength. I'm also short at 5'3". I was able to use this device with no issues. It is completely customizable to each person. The screen is easy to see and understand. The search features are more than adequate. And the user manual is easy to understand regarding how to use it, plus the free bonus pamplet on the best places to look for things. I've already found my lost necklace in my backyard! The storage bag is a great plus too. The only negative was that, I'm guessing due to the cold weather, the 2 batteries it came with were DOA.

I absolutely love my GreenRex Metal Detector! It’s easy to use and makes my first time treasure hunting so much fun. The different modes are really helpful—when I was looking for coins, jewelry, and lost items in my yard, this detector worked great. The Pinpoint Mode is my favorite because it helps me find exactly what I’m looking for without wasting time on digging up trash. Plus, it works great at detecting items that are pretty deep underground. The big screen is awesome; clear, easy to read, and perfect for using with limited natural light. The detector itself is really comfortable to hold, and I appreciate how quick it is to set up. It’s adjustable and when done, it packs up small and is easy to take anywhere.I’ve even used it near a creek...because of it's waterproof coil, it worked perfectly. The included items, like the headphones and shovel, make the hunt more interactive and is a great bonus.I’d recommend it to anyone who loves exploring or wants to try something new!

This detector kit includes everything you need to get started out hunting treasure. You get the detector, headphones, a shovel, and even a nice carrying case to transport to and from the field. I found this detector to be a great entry level detector with features other detectors don't have. It's easier than most to assemble and adjust the length for comfortable swinging and the waterproof coil means you don't have to worry if it gets wet in the shallow water or puddles on a beach. The display has a row of icons across the top to help identify targets, a digital target number display that's also very helpful, and even a depth level indicator to indicate how deep you can expect the target to be. And there's a backlight you can turn on and off that is really helpful in low light situations. The modes are pretty flexible, some have low sounding tones to indicate trash, and a consistent high tone to indicate the best stuff! Once your target is indicated, it has a pinpoint mode that allows you to accurately center your coil over the target. I found this detector very responsive to targets. With a little practice, I would make a chart to identify which target #'s indicate which coins (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, etc. The only caution I would advise is to be sure to take along an extra set of batteries in the field. You might get addicted and after a few days they'll eventually run down. The unit does have a battery level display on bottom left of the display to let you know how much battery is left. This one uses 9 volt batteries so you can get them almost anywhere. This is a well-designed detector with lots of great features that yet remains very easy to operate whether you have experience or not.

I was pleasantly surprised by this detector package. Just insert the 2 included 9 volt batteries, turn it on - and it just works. Indicators on the main display show indicators for iron (nails) and markers for likely penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and silver (and other precious metals). The detector beeps and gives an estimated depth of the find (based on a coin size I believe). You can filter out parts of the scan (so you only detect silver / gold and ignore nails). This would be useful if you were looking for a dropped earring. There is also a pinpointer mode that allows you to zero in on the exact location of a find. The package includes a case, a shovel tool with belt sheath, and a carry case. Now, the surprising part is that I compared this detector to a $500 one. The detection depth of both was basically identical at about 10 inches for a coin. So, why would someone consider a more expensive detector? The more expensive one I tried uses a multi-frequency scan. With a single frequency, if you have silver coins in a hole and a nail above it, you will likely only hear a tone for iron (which you may ignore). With a multi-frequency you will hear both iron and silver. Other features are things like the entire detector being submersible instead of just the shaft and coil. The last one is that the expensive detector has noise cancellation / ground balancing which allows you to run higher sensitivity without a bunch of random beeping. If you go into some locations without it, you will have to reduce your sensitivity to reliably detect. All that said, for less than $150 this is a GREAT starter package to find out if you like the hobby or for practical purposes like finding a buried wire. The learning curve is almost 0 (whereas the expensive detectors usually have a large manual describing all the settings). If there are coins or metal buried less than 10" down, my testing says that you will find them.I do recommend it for a budget detector.
