Works as it should. Teflon tape is needed to make a solid seal BUT as mentioned the white plastic washer is a bit too thick. When trying to screw the soda stream to the adapter, the washer is too thick and doesn’t allow the depressor pin to push sufficiently enough to allow any CO2 to go out. The only solution is to take the washer and a piece of sandpaper and grind down the washer little by little (keep testing it occasionally until you get that sweet spot). Once you hear the gas start to release you MUST HAVE A WRENCH READY!! use a wrench to tighten it up because hand pressure won’t be enough to create a proper seal and the gas will run free. Also TIGHTEN the adapter to the regulator FIRST. If not you can easily unscrew the regulator from the adapter and lose CO2.

As mentioned in another review, comes with a plastic white disk. It is too thick, so it doesn't allow you to fully screw on the sodastream canister. Without it gas leaks.

Ships with a little white disk to help make a seal. Without the disk the pin is too long and it opens the the soda stream cylinder before you can turn the bottle all the way on. With the disk, the pin is too short and it won't open the soda stream cylinder at all.
