I install rich peoples cabinet everyday. This saw has been a game changer. I was worried the fence wouldn’t be enough but its perfect. I have yet to find something it cant cut on the job; crown, molding, trim, etc it has np. My crown has never looked better nor gone up faster. I see you metabo HPT, thank you.

I was really surprised to find a battery-run miter saw. Due to the low price, I didn't have much hope that it would be a good product. I was pretty shocked when I assembled it, fired it up and cut some baseboard. It works great & is 100% accurate. If you need to go cordless and can use a non-compound with a 10" blade - by all means, buy it.

I have too many miter saws to count, but I've been eyeballing this for a while. The reasons for wanting a cordless 10" fixed miter saw are:- Cosscut up to 2x6- Bevel 5 1/4" speedbase for outside corners/coping inside corners- Miter up to 3 1/2" casing- Cut common crown in the nested position- Cut 2x4s and 4x4s no problem- Extremely convenient because it's cordless and at 20 lbs I can lift it with my pinky.Other features:- The shadow line is an added bonus- Metabo offers an AC/DC adapter so you can plug this saw in if you wanted toSo here are the issues- The first one I received had an inaccurate right side 45⁰ miter detent, so I returned it for a replacement. The replacement had accurate miter detents but the miter scale on both the miters and bevel is inaccurate. It reads 0⁰ when set perfectly to 90⁰, but the left side miter scale reads 45.5⁰ when set at 45⁰, and the right side miter scale reads 45.25⁰ when set at 45⁰. When the bevel scale is set properly to 0⁰, the 45⁰ mark is actually a 45.5⁰ bevel, which is actually fine because you're normally beveling 45.5⁰ anyway. All that said, it is not going to be a primary tool, so I'm willing to work around these issues for the convenience of the saw. They're also not major issues because, no matter what the scale says, the detents are accurate. I've already used it on a 3rd floor of a multi-family house and carrying 20 lbs up 3 flights is a lot better than carrying 50-70 lbs. Overall, it is a great little saw for what I will need it for. It's so convenient that you could easily carry it to every window/door opening to make adjustments on the fly. You could carry it room to room for baseboard installs if you wanted to. I don't think a 10⁰ fixed saw is a one stop shop for most people, but it will do most common casing/base/crown/framing, so a lot of homeowners could actually get away with just owning this one saw.Notes about cordless Metabo HPT as a brand(not including their high quality pneumatics): I own a lot of Metabo tools at this point because of their low prices. I would grade them at a C. They're right down the middle in terms of quality and performance. A homeowner would probably love them. As a carpenter, I have a love-hate relationship. Their line of tools is pretty limited and the quality varies pretty dramatically. I've had performance and battery issues, but nothing too crazy. Ultimately, I wouldn't necessarily recommend solely owning this saw if you're not in their line. By the time you bought the kit and at least one extra battery, you could be in the $450-500 range, and there are much better saws at that price point.
Seems to work

It is a light weight cordless saw, It needs getting use to, not as accurate as my 12" saw but what use it for it does the job, I only used it two days and need to workout some small details with it, I did put better blade on it.

My hitachi 10" slider weighs 42 lbs and my old cast iron delta 60 lbs.The blade on this metabo is a perfect 90 degrees off the fence and has a rear support that prevents ass over tea kettle rollovers. The little saw has all the little things that my big chop saws are missing. The most important factor is the weight, 19.6 lbs feels featherlight and is a one-arm job.
