Merrill Pressure Switches
The 50/70 pressure switch signals the pump to start when the water system drops to a preset (e.g. 50 PSI) and stop at high pressure mark (e.g. 70 PSI). This switch is to be used with submersible well pumps or as a replacement switch. It can be wired 115 volt or 230 volt.

Adjustable Pressure
This 50/70 pressure switch has adjustable cut-in (50 PSI) and cut-off (70 PSI) pressures, with a removable cap for easy adjustment. It’s compatible with submersible pumps and can be wired for 115V or 230V, simplifying installation.

We had a 40-60 switch. I adjusted it up to 50-70 but still had an issue. It may have been a bad switch originally. This new 50-70 switch fixed our issues.

In the 15 or so years I've owned my place this is the third surge tank pressure switch I've needed. As far as I can tell they are all basically identical in design. Home Depot, Menards, where ever you get them they all look the same internally. They install the same. The electrical connections are the same. The pressure adjustment mechanisms are the same. This one looks robust and I can't see anyplace they cut corners vs the other brands I have had. Had it installed in less than an hour. Most of that was draining my tank and other things. Has a 20A rating at 110V. More than enough. The pressure settings were basically spot on. This one looked to be a couple psi over on both low and high settings. That could be my pressure gauge. Working great.

This is a preliminary review, as we won't install this pressure switch until a replacement on our well is needed. However, the instructions to adjust cut-in and cut-out pressure are small and very hard to read. There is no instruction pamphlet, the only instructions are inside the housing of the unit (see photos). This is a very good price for a well pressure switch, and we have yet to see how long it lasts.

Preset to 50/70 psi but can be changed to 40/60 Switch by adjusting inner bolt. This model does not come with auto low pressure cutoff.
