Comfortable and warm; however, I don’t get overheated. I love this so much I bought in another color. I’ve had for over a year and it’s holding up well.

This base layer kept me nice and warm while in Alaska. I have washed it a couple times and it has come out just fine. The reason for a one-star deduction is that the sleeves are just a bit long for me BUT, still a nice shirt.

I’ve been slowly accumulating merino pieces since the end of 2019. At first I only bought from Smartwool and Icebreaker because I was unsure about the quality of the brands I saw on Amazon. But I started trying out pieces from the few brands here, and Meriwool is my favorite for baselayers. I bought two 250g baselayer tops off Amazon from two different brands recently and the Meriwool top is superior. They are both soft and fit true to size (slightly roomier than Smartwool for reference), both the same price, but the Meriwool is a tighter weave and just feels of higher quality. It is comparable to my Smartwool classic thermal at about half the price. For reference, I ordered a large because my bust is 38.5-40 depending on what bra I’m wearing, but I could have fit in a medium. I also got a pair of their leggings and they’re about half the price of Smartwool, too, and I actually like the Meriwool ones better. These folks make a good product at a reasonable price so I would definitely recommend them.

I have a charcoal Meriwool base layer I purchased last winter, love it, has held up and washed beautifully! I usually wear a size small/6 in tops these days, my charcoal shirt in size medium fits close without being tight, so when there was a discounted price recently I purchased two more Meriwool base layers, in black and sky blue heather, both in medium like the charcoal. The black fits perfectly, the blue, however, is too loose for a base layer, more like a true medium top. The blue color is beautiful, unfortunately it’s not available in a small now and I’m going to have to return it - so girls there will be able blue medium available soon😉. Anyway, I LOVE these shirts, just know, sizing apparently varies between colors.

Bought two of these for my Iceland trip but now these are my favorite shirts. They are warm and breathable and soft. They hold practically no body odor and don't need to be washed frequently. While pricey, they are worth the investment and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of these for a long time. I had some loose threads over the first few days of wearing, but after knotting them off and trimming, I haven't had this happen again. Meriwool offers a good coupon after first purchase if you decide to buy more that can be used on their website. I will probably be back for more.

Fabulous, warm, lovely colour (pink), no itching/scratching.I'm usually a medium. Bust 36", Arm length 22.5", Waist 29", Hips 37", Bum 40"This fits quite loosely on me and if I was to order again I would order a small, only because this would be more of a base layer for me. If you are planning to wear this as an outer layer with something closer to your skin, it will work, but might still be a bit loose fitting. The arms are long, which I really like as I usually struggle with tops that present with too short a sleeve for me, leaving my wrists exposed and chilled.

I had been searching for a quality 100% Merino wool base layer ever since it started getting into winter in my town. I looked at reviews and the quality of various brands- including leading name brands.I tried a different brand's 250 base layer, which is the same price point as MERIWOOL, it was a color I liked and was silky soft, but the sleeves were ill-fitting and huge, the length of the body far too long, yet tight, and so it couldn't be worn as a base layer (more just like regular oddly shaped sweater). Even if I sized down, the proportions would be too strange. So I returned it, and kept up the search....ENTER MERIWOOL!I love the light and soft heather color options, and after reading reviews, I decided to size down to a Small to get a slimmer fit for a true base layer top.It WORKED! The top fits great in all the right places, including the sleeve width and length. The cuff is long enough to go over the hands but not too long where it bunches when not over the hands. For reference, my height is 5'4", currently 132-135 lbs, current measurements are 37" Bust, 31" Waist, 35" High Hip, 39" Low Hip.My measurements fluctuate as I slim down considerably in spring and summer, another reason why I opted for the small size. The labels are hidden and tasteful, and the fabric is soft and has stretch. Not silky soft but it is very cozy. I have sensitive and dry skin in winter, so I do feel the texture of the wool, but it is not enough to feel itchy, even with nothing underneath. If anything, the texture I can feel more are the flat seams.I have not washed or used this top for any length of outdoor time yet, but if I have a different experience with it after more use, I will update the review to accuracy! In Conclusion: After further research, I am glad I did not buy a brand name item for double the price. I am looking forward to wearing this top under my layering clothes when out in the cold, and by itself to stay cozy at home. I am even considering buying the matching Meriwool bottoms. Best of Luck to you in your endeavors to stay warm!
