It arrived sooner than expected. I thought it’d be heavier. It took several hours to put together. Be careful assembling don’t over tighten screws you take a risk stripping the wood since it’s particle board. Once assembled the island looks pretty & sturdy. The doors line up nicely. The drawers roll out smoothly. It looks good. I would have preferred no legs but then the height doesn’t match the stools. The stools, however, look cheesy because they sent the “wrong” parts. I’ve sent a request, with pictures, directly to Merax for the correct parts. Hopefully they send me the 8 missing pieces. If they don’t I’ll have to stuff the holes and paint them. Overall it’s fine. It looks good in my kitchen. Knowing what I know now I would not have purchased and would not recommend. I would have returned it as soon as I discovered the wrong parts, BUT how do you restock it for returning it?? You can’t! I had to take everything out to find the instructions buried. It wasn’t on the top. Then to take inventory you must remove wraps etc. After all that and parts all over my living room I discovered they sent me 12 pieces of part #36 “instead” of 4 pieces of part #36 and 8 pieces of part #37. Last thing, you’ll discover the bottom board contains a warning that the materials used may cause cancer and is banned in CA. In my experience such items also have that notice on the box so you’re aware BEFORE you open the box. I don’t know what the requirements are but I have returned items having those materials. It depends where I’ll be using it.Update: Merax said they will be sending me the missing parts for the two stools, but will take 3-4 weeks. I’ll update when received.

Looks great. For the most part you can assemble it yourself. You will need someone to put the top on. Sturdier material could have been used for the back portion. The stools top edges are sharp. You have to be careful.

This was very difficult to assemble. The instructions we small and in some places unclear. If I could ship it back I would. It’s together but not like it should be. Please don’t purchase this unless you have a half day to put it together with one person reading the instructions and another person to put it together.
