This sun shirt by LK SPORTS is very very light and airy for the amount of stretch material that is built in. Typically, spandex-added materials become heavier because spandex adds weight. Here's some pros and cons.PROS:- Super lightweight and airy- Material draws out sweat so it can evaporate- athletic cut, but still relaxed (I am 5'10" 175 lbs size Medium)- doesn't smell when you sweat (as some polyesters will do from bacteria build up)CONS:- Lightweight knit does snag and frayFor $20, just buy 2 of them. They will wear out for sure from backpacks or even if you wash it a lot (after runs). So there's a given and take for lightweight materials.

I live in Costa Rica, tropical environment, heat, rain, etc.I gave it as a gift to a nephew because although it is hot here, young people like these jackets with hoods, I saw this one that has UV protection and it was a success, it warms but does not suffocate, it dries easily,It is not heavy and is ideal for an area like this with changes and micro climates where sun protection is required, a light coat with little weight and in case of light rain it dries quickly.

Well made, I bought a couple because they are very lightweight and provide good sun protection. They wash nice too.

I wear a large, but reading a review was advised to get a size smaller as the item was huge. Might be quality control but the medium I received was a true medium. Well made product though. I sent it back and ordered a large.

I live in Arizona and wanted some good protection from the sun. I thought this might be that, but after getting it and trying it on I just simply hated it. I'm not even sure I can fully tell you why but I'll do my best.First off, hated the material and the way it felt. I also didn't like how it built up a static charge like you wouldn't believe. ... ... ... I told you I might not even be able to say why, but I just didn't like how it felt 'on'. I need something to be comfortable to be used, and this most certainly would not get used. YMMV
