I purchased this item as a gift for a friend who lost her mother. It is so beautiful and serene, especially when the LED candle is on. My friend loved it and she used it to create a memorial-like area in her home to remind her of her dear mother. I happen to believe that the copper top is what really makes it stand out against the white sides and black lettering, but it doesn't appear to be available any longer. I think it would be a real mistake to discontinue this particular lantern.

The lantern came in Tuesday night did not unpack it because I was taking it directly to the funeral home yesterday. Imagine our surprise when we tried everything by several different people trying to get the thing to come on We changed batteries around in the remote, but being at the funeral home there was not much we could do and no spare batteries were had.It's a pretty lantern. It's just too bad it didn't work.And it was pretty embarrassing to myself and my Friend that had went in together to get the lantern for our friend.I think you owe the recipients Phillip and Gina Smith something. I don't know. She was very gracious. She was going to take it home and Replace the batteries.
