More sophisticated sound, definitely recommend. And great packaging for kid. Usually rosins can easily damaged, but this packaging makes it more safer!

Previously used some gustav bernadel amber for my cello. My bow is not absolutely remarkably fantastic, but it does a decent job. It's a holstein 3 star bow, new hair, very reliable luthier. Had some issues with the hair gripping well enough, fussy A string... pretty normal stuff. Difficulty pushing through wolfs, which sadly happens to be my F... fortunately closer to 440 and not 432 F... I love F... anyways, this rosin has a game changer for me. I've been playing around with it for the last 2 weeks. I love the way it holds and flows across all the strings. Not too sticky, not too slidey. Definitely has been helping my C speak, especially notes on it such as F and F# and G, which were previously just a little more coughy and unwilling to come out in a lovely sort of way. Partly a technique thing for me too, sure, getting precise left hand contact, but I can definitely tell this rosin helped a lot. My husband noticed a difference, noted that the instrument is clearer, produces richer tone, the A string sounds nicer and he also noted that I play differently. It opened up a freedom to play more, closer to the tip, whereas before I had to fight and put much more pressure and therefore create much more tension than I'd like to, and avoided that more.. bow hold is always an adjusting adventure... Anyways, try this if you like, you most likely won't regret doing so. It's a good investment. Splurge on rosin, save yourself the headache of not knowing if it's causing a problem, and have fun with your cello instead of fighting it. Rosin preference is admittedly so unique to the individual as well. Ok bye.

Was looking for a lighter rosin for our humid summers and my teacher recommended I try this. It’s exactly what I needed - it provides just enough grip to provide a nice mellow tone and sensitivity, but doesn’t get too slippery. I probably won’t use it in winter, but it’s definitely my go to for summer now.

Very light, for a cello rosin. Probably on going to be using it as a problem solver, like very humid conditions.

She is an advanced beginner with a natural ear (her teacher said). She ran across this on another search and liked the reviews. She has been using it for a few weeks now and says she loves the feel of smoother play. She says it gives a sweeter lighter sound to her notes.

don't be exciting just because it comes from europe, it's not very good... My old rosin is much better then this one =S also the price is very higher
