As is usual with Melissa and Doug toys, the vehicle carrier truck and cars are sturdy and can withstand a 5-year-old and 3-year-old pair of brothers. It's simple and well crafted. The ability to raise and lower the truck bed supposedly builds fine motor skills, but the kids just think it's fun. It's also nice to see a fine wooden toy as opposed to all of the cheap plastic trucks on the market. I recommend it.

This is a great toy, which includes the car carrying truck, and 4 vehicles. It is wooden and very well made. The quality of this toy is what we have come to expect from Melissa & Doug toys. My 3 yr old grandson loves it!

I have purchased many different Melissa & Doug wooden toys and the quality is excellent for the price. My grandsons love to dig them out of the toy box when they come to visit. I had to buy the same toy set a few times as they wanted to take it home with them when they left....so I had to purchase another for when they came back to visit. The wheels turn smoothly, all the moving parts are easy for little hands to operate. Can't recommend these enough for rough-handling by boys.

These are great, fairly durable with riveted wheels so no worries about small parts coming off. Just make sure nobody sits or steps on top of the trailer.
