My sons Kindergarten teacher said he needs to work on his scissor skills. We got him this book and some separate scissors that were easier to cut with and his cutting abilities improved in no time! He now loves to cut the cute animals out for fun and does amazing at it now.

Age appropriate activities and fun graphics. My 3 year old loved the original (also included in this set) book and I wanted to buy more. This three pack is priced more reasonably than the individual books. In case you were wondering, you CAN split the package up for gifting...each book is individually wrapped.

My 4 year old could do these all day long and he does. I bought these because he did the first fine motor cutting skills book in one day. I was so happy to see there were some different options and he was so excited to get the new ones. I hope Melissa & Doug make some more of these!I will say, the scissors are not necessarily great for kids who are already skilled with cutting, but I give the scissors included with these to my other 2 year old son and feel SO safe about it. I think these scissors are really cool... I honestly don't even understand how they do work because they are not sharp, but they do cut!

Kid loved these! They finished an entire book in a day. Keep in mind that you'll have these projects floating around the house for quite some time

My son loves these. The “projects” are easy for young ones. We always glue the “projects” onto construction paper; so it doesn’t feel like all you’re doing is cutting. It makes it more fun that way.When he’s all done, he gang the “project” up so everyone can see.The books have easy tear out pages, which is super convenient.

I love that these activity books keep my child busy long enough for me to get some work done. She loves animals, and the sea creatures book was a HUGE hit. I love that the easiest scissor skills activities come first and the difficulty builds as you go through the book.I love the sparkly scissors that come with them. They're eye-catching and engaging for kids. They do cut through the paper but in my experience, not much else. My only quibble is that when my daughter gets to the harder pages, she gets frustrated and wants me to do it for her. As an adult, I find the scissors pretty uncomfortable to use. I wish they had something soft and squishy on the handles. These are hard and unforgiving.That said, my daughter goes back to these activity books again and again to practice scissor skills.

My kid loves these and will cut for hours…she’s only 3 so the skill set is still developing but I’m glad she’s working on it and have fun with the colourful graphics!
