The result was the Thunderbolt Speed Bag Swivel: the fastest, strongest, and most predictable stainless steel swivel available on the market. Constructed from pro-grade stainless steel, finished with a timeless matte bead blast, and featuring a revolutionary quick-release pin, this is the last swivel you will ever need.
The triple bearing design delivers lightning-fast speed and unrivaled consistency for high-intensity training sessions, allowing you to push the limits of your training. The Meister Thunderbolt measures just over 2” from the speed bag deck to the bag mounting point; making it 40% more compact than traditional, taller designs. This reduced distance from deck to bag loop translates to a reduced pendulum length, which means faster and more consistent bag speed.

Getting rid of the cotter pin system and replacing it with a modern, flat head quick-release pin means no more chasing dropped wires or bending a worn out pin to get a secure fit. Our custom quick-release pin is easy to use one-handed, and tight tolerances means your bag won’t go flying off, no matter how fast you drum.

IMO this is not on the level it should be for a top dollar bag mount. Just my opinion. It does work and is pretty smooth, but I expected more for that price tag.

This one took me by surprise. Now its the only swivel I use. It’s lightning fast! Exceptionally so! I recommend it if you’re a seasoned boxer or martial artist with experience. It may be too fast for beginners, but outside of that, it’s a must buy!

The thunderbolt swivel is flawless. All ball bearing action has no play in it. There can be a little chatter from the pin that holds the bag on bad hits. I bought the large bag and it's plenty fast for me. Very well made. Great value for the price.

I love this swivel, it’s fast, consistent and it’s very easy to change the bag. The only thing I didn’t like is that it had very long screws with washers/nuts to secure. At first I thought that was cool and not thinking I drilled appropriate size holes in the platform before I realized the screws were too long and hit the rig’s mounting bracket. Not sure what they were thinking, but I wasn’t thinking either so I guess we’re even. I just used wood screws and burned some real estate on the a new board that now has 3 sets of holes.It kinda sucks, but over time some swivels break and most of us will experiment with different swivels, and no, there is no standard hole pattern for swivels. Have fun with your rig, the board is pretty forgiving and if you chew it up over time, it’s replaceable.

Purchased this as an upgrade to the "cheaper" Everlast Speed Bag Platform vs buying a new platform. The swivel was super easy to install (I chose to use the existing hardware) and the results are amazing; this thing is fast and smooth! I also puchased the medium and large Meister Speed Bags to go with it. I only wish that I would've purchased it sooner!
