About this item

  • CALMING RAIN SOUNDS: listening to this rainstick has a soothing effect because it creates the natural sound of flowing water; use it to mimic a stream, waterfall, or rainstorm
  • WHY IT MATTERS: it’s important to find new ways to relax and unplug in a world full of busy schedules and notifications; this rainstick can help you unwind with its meditative sounds (plus it’s fun to play)
  • DRIVING THE SOUND: its 100% bamboo shell responds with natural, warm resonating tones; the internal filling is shaped to produce trickling water effects as it falls through the center
  • HOW IT WORKS: gently angle to sound like a small stream and tip all the way for a rushing monsoon effect; you can easily control the sound, and it requires no prior skill to play
  • BY THE NUMBERS: this rainstick measures 39” long, which is our large model; the longer the length, the more sustain and volume when tilted straight up and down
  • ZOOM IN: this rainstick comes beautifully hand painted with a highly intricate design; it looks great on display in front of an audience, in your home, or in a sound bath setup
  • THE BOTTOM LINE: use it for sound healing therapy, ASMR, meditation, yoga, or adding natural sound effects to your music; it’s a fun, unique attraction for anyone, and the hand painted design makes each one special

When we were kids; we all messed around with a rainstick. A foot...maybe three foot; it was fun and interesting, but that's about it. I bought the monster of this group and it arrived in good shape. Not only that, but with it's size; you can work to control the flows in order to keep the rain flowing unendingly. It looks great, it feels great, it sounds great. I know it's a relatively simple instrument, but it gives you a lot and this item is very much worth what I paid for it.

Once again Meinl kills it in the percussion industry. Imitators will charge 1/3 the price and deliver exactly what you paid for. The craftsmanship and look of this instrument is beautiful. The sound is perfect. Hard to describe but if you have heard a crappy rain stick then this one is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Very please with my purchase.

Oggetto particolare e molto affascinante, realizzato talmente bene da risultare anche un ottimo pezzo di arredamento. Grazie alla sua lunghezza emette un suono molto bello, piuttosto realistico e rilassante.Arrivato in tempi rapidi e confezionato in maniera egregia. Lo consiglio.

This rainstick served its purpose fine in concert. Its sound is not as loud or long-lasting as more expensive varieties, but it was worth the lower price because it did the job fine and I don't know if I'll ever use it again. It is a bit more delicate than expensive rainsticks. The percussionists in my adult group had no problems with it but I don't know if it would last very long in an educational ensemble. Tube is noticeably longer than other models and might prove difficult in a pit orchestra but was showy for concert band use.

The sound of this rainstick is awesome. It is also a beautiful instrument. We use it sparingly, to keep it in good condition. I am careful to put it away to keep it from becoming a toy for my band members. I have noticed that the cord that is wrapped and glued around the ends is beginning to come loose. I think some wood glue or gorilla glue will be enough to fix the problem, but that is something to be aware of. I would buy it again, though, because it was a good price for a beautiful instrument.
