The Meinl turbo CRASHER will be a must for drummers and percussionists of all genres who want to add a different color to their set up. This percussion accessory can be placed on any rod and will give you a nice short crashing sound.

As described it has a great sound similar to Timbale shell and can be used as a guiro and also has a sound close to clap mixed with a tambourine.. you need to try it

I love the product, and the price was right. It was missing the piece which attaches to the bolt. Fortunately, I own enough percussion equipment that I was able to mitigate this oversight.

I wanted a crasher after seeing Thomas Lang's setup. This is it. Loud enough to cut through the drum kit, depending on your placement. Mine is mounted on a Meinl percussion rig.

i have a cocktail kit with small hi-hats (always closed) and a small splash... this is a really cool addition... the ripples in the metal are cool for some scratch gourd efx it can be used on a foot-pedal as well. but I'm really digging the color it brings to my set-up, used as a back beat or with the snare you get a nice electronic sound... get one!

This is a cool addition to your kit. Make sure you get a nice percussion clamp so you can adjust the positioning of this crasher, as the positioning is important for how you strike it -- you can swipe your stick along the ridges to get a guiro sound. The crasher has helped me open my imagination up to new grooves and stickings.Gotta be mindful that it's not quite as loud as cymbals and drums.

Fun percussion accessory. Similar to Engelhart ribbon crasher, but lighter.Mounted on hihat pull rod, it doesn’t feel too heavy to operate pedal & offers some interesting options somewhere in between crasher & tambourine. Great for electronic type backbeat & the bevel edges offer guiro like sounds as well. Give it a try, I think you’ll like it. A+ Meinl

This thing is a great addition to any drum set. I love the guiro type effect of scraping my stick right to left and when riding this thing it sounds really cool. My drum students love it!

not a very strong sound - Meinl also make a mountable tambourine with triangular brass jingles that has a much more distinctive voice in the same sound family.

Nice contrast in sound. I like it a lot. It cuts through better than a hi hat. But the screw down bold comes loose after a while of use to has to keep being re-tightened. .
