Always skeptical of cymbal packs but this particular model of Meinl came highly recommended and sound amazing. They add some brightness to complement my Zildjian K darks. 10 cymbals for $1200 is a steal and they sound great!

This is a fantastic beginner's set and plays at a intermediate level. Very nice and with extra 18" Crash, makes a complete set to jam with. Would recommend buying for any beginner or intermediate player. Excellent sound from these cymbals.

After going round and round with all the cymbal sets that are out there I went with these. What can I say about this set. So bright. So pretty. So many different styles of playability. The trash cymbals are so responsive that they have become my new favorites. The bell is amazing. I was happy with all of them. The China was not exactly what I was looking for, but I ended up buying the 18” China trash and that was exactly the sound I was looking for. A very solid set of cymbals. Worth the money. Shipped well.Only downside…no sticker…c’mon Meinl I just dropped some money here.

This is a fantastic set to purchase if you want to start upgrading your cymbal set up. It gives you a solid hat, crash and ride foundation on which to add whatever other colors you like. Upgrading from HCS or MCS is well worth it. Although those are plenty musical enough, Classic Custom is a huge improvement. You won’t be disappointed. And the finish is stunning. I love these cymbals!

A bit darker sound (or maybe just a lower tone) than I expected, especially from the 16" Trash Crash and 10" Splash. The main cymbals are exactly what you would expect though, with nice stick definition, shimmer, and wash but without a ton of overtones. The bell on the Ride is amazing, although strangely enough I found I get more "ping" volume from the bell with the tip of my sticks rather than the shoulder (as I had to use on my Sabian AAX and Zildjian K rides). These cymbals are also very dynamic; you can play them lightly or really lay into them, and boy do they project when you do. The finish is simply gorgeous, and for this price, I am very pleased compared to similar sets from Sabian or Zildjian that I was considering for much more money. I am even thinking of adding the matching 8" Splash and 18" China just for fun.

I just want to spread the word on how awesome these Meinl Custom Classics cymbals are! I started playing my brothers drums as a teen and he was a Zildjan man, so that’s all I ever played. As great as those are, when it came time for me to purchase my own drum set and set of cymbals, I was on a tighter budget, but was determined to own some quality cymbals. After several weeks of research and going back and forth, I decided the Meinl CC line was perfectly suited for me (I play mostly rock, but like to dabble in jazz as well and I play very hard...I beat the crap outta my cymbals). When they came in, I was definitely not disappointed in my choice (although for serious Jazz players, I’d spend the extra dough for Byzance line). This pack was perfect for getting started with all the essentials and the free 18 inch crash was nice of them!In my opinion, at their price range, I do not believe you will find a better “all-around” cymbal pack. The Custom Classics sound amazing! They are loud, aggressive, and cut through, but don’t overstay their welcome. I’ve had the cymbals for close to 4 years now and, with a little polishing, they look brand new. They are super durable cymbals! In the time since, I have purchased a 10 inch Customs Classics Dark Splash cymbal which sounds perfect (imo, better than some of the Byzance splashes) and compliments the pack nicely. I am looking into getting a 16 inch Customs Classics Dark China cymbal, as well. Now, if you can afford them, the Byzance line if FOR SURE the way to go, but if you’re a baller on a budget like me, you won’t be disappointed with The Meinl Customs Classics cymbals!!!
