This material is thick & warm. However, it's a very awkward fit, the body portion is boxy, the arms are boxy... it's just not flattering. Additionally, it is not the length as shown in the picture. The length is more like right below the butt that down to the knees. I would have returned it if my daughter didn't wear it to school already.

The quality is wonderful. Nice and warm on a chilly day, so soft, with a medium thickness. Doesn't feel heavy, but comfortably warm. She absolutely loves and and lots of compliments.
