I consulted a photography forum and decided to go with Meike over other third-party brands. I use a Nikon Z 7II, and these rings have worked perfectly.I have attached them to both the Nikon F to Z mount adapter and the FD to Z adapter with no issues. They attach and detach smoothly, and they seem sturdy and functional.I've read that others have received defective products, which is unfortunate. Quality control can have slip-ups from time to time, but I’ve always had Amazon make things right in these cases.

The picture was taken with a nikkor 40mm f/2 lens at f/10 using the 11mm extension tube that came with the set. Yes its not going to be as good as a true macro lens, but this will allow you to get a LOT closer to your subjects. For the price you can't beat it.

I'm using this regularly on a new Nikon Zf for close-ups. Maybe 8" away with a 50mm lens. Works perfectly. No complaints. What a bargain.

The tubes work like a charm with the Nikon Z 24-120 f/4. They don't work at all with the Tamron 70-300. So I guess you never know. That said, both manual focus and autofocus work fine on the 24-120

If you have good Nikon glass these work great instead of investing in a lens just for macro.

Given this is literally a collar, all that matters is build quality, secure mount and proper electrical contacts (to allow aperture to be set).Build quality is low to medium. Given it just arrived, I can’t comment on its longitivtiy. The mount quality is medium and acceptable for its price range. The smaller tube has a defective electrical contact pin (see top left pin). It doesn’t seem to have a spring so doesn’t stick out like the rest so the tube doesn’t work at all. The other tube works fine.Even the most basic quality control would have caught this issue.Going back to Amazon for a refund.

Extension tubes are fitted between the camera body and the lens and provide greater magnification than what the lens by itself is capable of. The two Meike AF extension tubes are 11 mm and 18 mm. If the focal length of the lens equals the total of the extension tubes (29 mm in this case), you can get 1:1 magnification (life size). Good product at reasonable price.

The Meike extension tube works beautifully on my Nikon Z 6 II. The truth is, it was so reasonably priced I kept my expectations low until I tried it. I now use it even with my sigma 60-600.

I’m aware that, in photography, buying a generic accessory that is not manufactured by the same brand, is a risk that is taken in terms of functionality and quality. But in the case of extension rings for macrophotography, the risk is lower, taking into account the price, sometimes 10% of the original, and the non-affectation of the optics since it has no glass elements that can interfere with the quality of the coupled lens. However, you should be aware that any defect of this, is multiplied by the times the increase is made and that inevitably happens even with the best rings of the original brand. I use a Nikon Z 6, which I consider better than the Z7 for my needs. I'm very fond of macrophotography. In this case, I acquired these Meike rings for several reasons: Nikon does not yet have extension rings for the Z-mount. The market only offers two of these models and they are the only option. And last but not least, my need to take macro photography, the main reason why I acquired this camera. Before buying them, as usual before any acquisition, I read all the comments for and against this product, some with a single star, but, for the low price, I decided to take the risk and asume the consequences.Fortunately, and I don't know if it's particularly to the accessory I bought, it works perfectly well. It is properly placed and removed and its construction, although it feels plastic, does not prevent at all the evidence of rigidity and functionality. In addition, its appearance and presentation does not demerit at all the presentation of the camera.I am very satisfied with these rings and recommend them, without committing to that all those who are marketed work in the same way.
