This is a nice sturdy fire extinguisher holder for a great price. Easy to install with plenty of clamps that gives you lots of options.

So easy to install. Feels heavy duty and has stood up to the test on trail after trail. It is well built, feels solid and is easy to connect/disconnect. Very happy with purchase.

This unit is the Chinese clone version of a design that has been around for a long time in racing. Its crossover to offroad vehicles was accomplished by Drake about a decade ago. Like many great American designs, the Drake design was cloned several years ago, and what we have here is the latest supplier offering that clone at a third of the price of the original.I have the Drake, along with their seat bolt mounting bracket, installed in front of the passenger seat in my Jeep JKUR. I had my wife practice using it, and on the one occasion it looked like the extinguisher would be needed, she was out of her seat and had the halon extinguisher at the ready within seconds—providing proof that this system can be deployed quickly in the heat of the moment.I keep another halon extinguisher behind the driver’s seat in a sleeve with quick release straps, and I keep a third dry chemical ABC extinguisher attached to the rear roll bar brace, which is accessible through the tailgate. It is attached using a hybrid of a bag and a Drake clone (it replaced an earlier straps only mount which always twisted around on the roll bar padding). The clone and the Drake release are functionally, as well as cosmetically, identical. I’ve had that first clone for over 5 years. Not surprisingly, given their extremely limited use, both look and perform as well as when thy were new.I haven’t put this new clone into service yet, obtaining it through the Vine program to compare it with the two previous mounts. Like the first clone, it is functionally and cosmetically equivalent to the Drake. It will eventually be mounted in another vehicle.Why so many extinguishers?1 Accessibility. Note that my wife was clear of the Jeep with extinguisher in hand before I was out from behind the steering wheel. Seconds count with fires, especially vehicle fires. If the roof is on (and in my case, it always is) it takes too long to get out of the driver’s seat, run to the back of the Jeep, open the tail gate, lift the window, then reach and release the extinguisher.2 Volume. The typical vehicle extinguisher just doesn’t contain the much retardant, compared to the typical business extinguisher. Having the extra volume, especially when there is a second person to apply it, can make all the difference between a damaged vehicle and a destroyed one—yours or someone else’s.3. The different fire types; electrical, grease/liquid, and wood/paper/grass. Off-roaders may encounter any of the three. The halon extinguisher perfect for shooting through the grill is totally inadequate for a grass fire started by your catalytic converter—and vice versa.To top it off, I also carry a small disposable fire blanket, and when off road, a shovel. Just search for Jeep fires on You Tube and you will find the video of a very prominent Jeeper whose rig burned to the ground offroad along with all his gear in it.

I got this extinguisher holder to add to my RZR because you never know when you are out in the middle of no where and are in an emergency. A fire extinguisher is never a bad idea to have be it a problem with your machine, or running into something while you are out.The kit itself comes with several hose clamps of varying sizes as well as the mount itself. The mount separates into two pieces when you pull the pin; one piece stays attached to whatever you mount it to (in my case the roll cage) and the other piece stays attached to your fire extinguisher. You can then take the fire extinguisher and use it as needed. The release pin is a nice size to be able to grab on to and the extinguisher releases easily. I did make sure to test it out several times to get a feel for how it works before being in an emergency situation.My biggest concerns with this was if it would stay secured to my RZR as well as rattling noises that might come from it. There's nothing worse than sitting there idling and all you hear is this annoying rattle coming from behind you. Well...I can tell you that this is very secure and doesn't make a peep. We went out on an 8+ hour ride on some pretty crazy terrain and didn't have an issue. I didn't hear it rattle at all and it was still mounted when we got back.I did make sure that when I mounted it to the roll care that I put some rubber material between the clamp and roll cage (you can see it sticking out in one of the pictures). This might have helped muffle the sound, but also should prevent damage to my roll cage if I ever take it off.Overall I am very satisfied with this mount. If you have a RZR or any sort of off roading machine, you should have an extinguisher on it.

I installed this on my front rack on my ATV horizontally. It didn't work out for me even though I tried things to modify my rack. The product itself is well made. There is no reason that I see that it would not do what it is suppose to do. I was trying to use it for an application it was not meant to be used for. Not a fault of the product. I mounted it horizontal, on a small pipe(even though I drilled and ran both bolts through the pipe), and I had mounted a 10 lb extinguisher to it. Non of those things are ideal for this product the way I did it. I think the main thing with this device, is to use it on an UTV, because they will have a bigger support tube to mount it to. It is also meant to be hung vertically. I think this is a good product and well made. Under the stated use of it, I think it will work flawlessly for you. I would buy!
