I have a door, probably thirty years old and after four children, one grand and all their friends, the plate has had it and you need to jiggle the door to get it to catch. This is great, easy to install and brand spankin' shiny new. It was a really good price, too. I'm very pleased with this item.

I got this striker to replace a worn out unit on my dining room door. It is a bit larger than my old standard unit, which is good. I had some chewed up area around the old unit, and this covered it nicely. Also this striker is a bit thicker than the old unit so I believe it is sturdier and will be more secure. OverallI think it is a good purchase value.

The t strike fit the metal door frame properly. It is nicely finished in plack powder coat.It was as easy to install except the included screws had too large a head to fit the counter sink holes. Also just came with 4 wood screws instead of 2 wood screws and 2 metal screws. They didn't fit the holes in my metal door frame.I used some screws from the old strike and a sharpie marker to color the heads black.

Needed this for our kitchen > mud room door where the slab has shifted slightly over the years. It hasn't latched in ages and we feed our dogs in the mud room (to keep down the mess.) Had to use a chisel to carefully chop out enough room for it, but that extra sized opening means I don't have to worry about the door not latching because of misalignment. Comes with a bunch of extra screws (they're a little soft if we're honest here) and I probably should have pre-drilled as I cracked the jamb. (It's an old house.)Overall, a really nice door strike if you've got alignment problems somewhere in the house.

Very solid and strong. I needed a long strike plate because the wood behind the old one was damaged and could no longer hold a screw. This one covered the old screw holes. It works with my existing door and it's hardware. I'm very happy with this.

This is a larger more secure strike plate than your average generic one. Giving a wider spread in case you have a beat up, damaged, or deteriorated lock catch, and need to resecure or replace the catch plate. This strike plate is larger and spans more distance between screws. There's not a lot to say, it's secure and simple, but effective and sturdy. Great product. No complaints.

First, ignore my beat up door. It's going to be replaced in the spring. The plate fell off a while ago, and I just got around to replacing it. I really like that the hole for the door striker on this plate is big enough to adjust for the door expanding and contracting with temperatiure changes. I wish the screws were flush with the plate, though, but there is plenty of room in my door frame to allow for it since my door old and falling apart anyway. I highly recommend this door plate to anyone who needs to replace their door parts.

While the stainless steel is great, the design is lacking: It doesn't have the tab that allows for adjustment to keep a door from rattling back and forth when shut, say, when the wind blows or there's a draft. I had to drop all the stars I could because it's extremely overpriced, considering. I think I won't use it at all.
