The candles are coated in a gold spray paint, not a gold mixed in the wax.I needed the candles for a ritual that I didn't have time to make my own.These candles are clear wax with a gold illusion.Not fit for a ceremony requiring gold candles.It's like passing off a gold painted iron coins.I do not recommend this company for candles.
