Came with a gridline paper to make a template to cut the vinyl to your laptop size. Vinyl is heavy mil and should hold up nicely. Wife likes the look.

My father wanted one for his new laptop.. he choose this on what I found avail. He's very happy... large earth on the cover. I trimmed off a slice to show the red accent.Fyi there is a slight texture.. some may not like. I personally think it's nice to have...Much appreciated 🙏🏼

The black plastic lid on my laptop really showed fingerprints and smudges. After owning the computer for less than a week, I knew I was not going to like the smudges and nasty look of the lids so I started searching the web for laptop covers.I didn't like all the flowers and abstract and since I spent over 40 years supporting military aviation I settled on this. It's not Navy but it was the only one I found with wings and flying so I ordered it.The package contains a nice piece of grid paper that lets you make an accurate pattern to use to transfer to the cover so you don't end up with a poor trim job. I am really bad at making accurate cuts with scissors but the pattern on the paper made it very easy to get the cut right.I just used Windex to make sure the laptop lid was really clean and allowed adequate time for the lids to dry before applying the cover. I peeled back the paper backing on the cover at one corner, stuck the corner down after getting one long edge accurately aligned on the cover, and then peeled by the backing a little at a time as I smoothed it with a credit card as I anchored the rest of the cover to the lid. The cover is pretty forgiving and can be peeled up to realign if needed. If you have a little overhang, it is easily trimmed with an Xacto knife or razor. Just be careful if you have a plastic lid so you don't dig the knife into the plastic and carve off anything other than the cover.The cover has been on for about 3 weeks now and shows no sign of peel up along the edges or the corners. The cover has a nice matte finish so no more fingerprints. My brother is retired USAF so he really likes the way my laptop looks now. I don't expect it to last forever, but it is cheap enough that if it starts to show wear or I get tired of the design, it easily peels off and I can replace it with something fresh and new.

It is kind of a pain to install, because you have to get the measurements precise, and it is best to use a ruler and a razor blade. I could have taken more time with cutting mine, but instead it is a little uneven one side, which is my own fault.Once you have the correct measurements, placing it on is easy, and so far it seems to be pretty durable. I will update when some time has passed. Im happy with the image quality, and the texture of the sticker.

This is vinyl and durable. CLEAN laptop with rubbing alcohol and let dry completely. Use tape to remove dust particles (like you do for cell phone screen protector) Cut to fit. I used a paper cutter and a corner cutter. HINT: if you have to round the corners to match your laptop and it doesn’t stay and curls up like another person posted .... take a hair dryer and heat it a bit to make it plyable. Press it down and let it cool that way. It will stay. Can do this if a bump makes and air pocket too. Like a bump from a big chip! Or where the logo is. Bought a laptop for my son he had it six months. He didn’t need it anymore and returned it to me. The top was all scratched and chipped but it still worked well. This covered the marks perfectly. I like it better than plain old silver too!!!

I wanted something to make my ROG stand out when closed and this does it nicely. Colours are great, and installation was pretty easy. I just needed to clean the laptop surface, then make the decal fit just by trimming it a bit. I've had it installed for a while now, and it is still nicely attached.

Since I wasn't sure what size to order for my new 17" HP Pavilion laptop, and because this was the design I definitely wanted, I went with this option. It turned out to be the correct left-right length but not the correct up-down width for my machine, and cutting it would have removed an essential part of the image. Soooooo I put it on the exterior of my hard-side metal laptop case, and it fit perfectly, drawing attention wherever I go with it. Grin. Also included with the skin was a long narrow strip with the same image. Not know what it was supposed to be used for, I cut and trimmed it to fit on either side of the laptop's touchpad - which also draws admiring comments.I suggest strongly that you measure your laptop first, check the size in the listing, and then order.The vinyl is, well, vinyl although it's very well printed, excellent color, easy on the eyes, non-glare.My only regret is that this is not on slick vinyl, like the ones I had on the laptops lost in our house fire in January, and which are no longer available - Skinit once carried the "White Dragon" and "Black Dragon" by Ciruela as skins. No amount of searching has turned up any site or person who has those for sale.However, this has turned out to be a satisfactory alternative option.

I got a 17.3 laptop and bought this one to cover the scratch.First thing I have to say is It's nice, sticky but easy to remover without leaving the stickiness on the surface. I made few bubbles when applying it for the first time, so I peeled it out and apply again and again for 3 more times and still do a good job.Just one point is it will not fit 17.3, especially the one with round corner like HP so you will have to re-size it. And also the line the pre-print on the other size (for you to cut to fit your laptop) is not accurate.

Pros:Pretty to look at.Feels sturdy and nice.Easy to install/ Easy to take off and re-applyCons:I have a 15.6" Asus laptop. The skin was long enough (too wide before cutting) but too skinny for the cover. The description online said it would fit up to 16" laptops. And when I cut the sticker, some of the graphics get cut off, which is a shame.Plus, the background colors aren't vibrant as advertised and is on the dark side, almost black with a purple tone.Overall:I installed it in the middle of the top and it looks pretty enough. Really good texture and sticks well. Sizing is not as satisfactory but would work for smaller laptops.
